Did you really just ask if someone has some of the brand spanking new 15x9s for sale in used form? Not sure what kind of idiot would sell his new rims that he just received or hasn't received yet but you won't be seeing any used ones for sale anytime soon i bet.

Default 275 on the NA

275 A6

These will require a flat roll front and rear. Pull maybe 1/2" in front and 1/4~1/2" in rear. This car doesn't have much camber so it's conceivable that they might just squeak in with the less pulling with maybe -2.5° fron and -2° rear. As on the non-running NA I first checked, the tires hit the control arms at full lock. Bombing around a few business park cul-de-sac's I couldn't use enough lock for them to rub though so I don't think it'll be an issue expect for parking. You either have the choice of running a 3~5mm spacer up front and trimming the fender or just watching how much lock you use when rolling through the pits. I'll set mine up with no spacers.

..and omigod does the car turn. It's like having downforce at 45mph.

275's = pure sex.

Makes me feel better about the excessive flaring now.

Default 275 on the NB

275 A6

The NB was a much easier fit. With slightly rolled fenders, no pull and not enough camber, we got them to clear with just the very slightest rubbing at very high steering angle bashing through a driveway. Basically, they clear just fine.

I think an NB with the right amount of camber will clear the 275 / 15x9 6UL with just rolling. The tires hit the 70mm (2.75") spring perches at full lock just like on the NA. Those with 2.5" or 2.25" race coils will have more room. When the XIDA are ready in a few weeks I'll be able to check clearance with 2.25" coils myself.

My head is just spinning right now. I cannot believe these fit under massaged stock fenders. Cannot believe it.

I must have them. Emilio, what does your production schedule look like for 15x9s in the fall, let's say around October? I am calculating $2k for 275/35 R6 Hoosiers and 15x9s, with leeway for price increases, tax, shipping, and mounting/balancing.

Nothing on the table for the fall yet. I'm sure there will be something in the works. And yes, all 6UL's wil be going up about 10%.

I love starting sentences with a preposition. Just makes me feel good.

I'm guessing this is a "Buyem and tryem and if they don't fit, I'll buy them from you cheaper" posting

That NB makes me want those so bad. Too bad I can't afford 275 A6s.

Thanks for posting all these specs Emilio, I want these even more now.

Also, what is the ride height on the NA these were fitted on, it appears a bit taller than my car, so that will change a few things for me I am sure.

It's a shame there's no streetable (RA-1 ish) wide tire for these. I could use all the rubber I can fit in the back.

RA1's come in a 225/50 and are perfect.

The 275's are hardly streetable though. The 225/50 RA1 is wider than the 225/45 and makes a great street tire for a high hp weekend street toy.

275 ft-lbs at 2000 rpm > 225-anything tires. I've got the 225-45s RA1s. I doubt the 50s would make much of a difference.

I think the 235/50/15 R888 might be the answer for the big HP streetable cars.

I think I will go with a set in the next few years when I retire the miata from dd duty, unless of course a nice 245-275 comes out with more then 40 treadwear.

Question

What would be the main reason for an NA bodystyle owner to go 15x9 over 15x8 if you are still using a 225/45/15 tire?

Plan is to get the SE Flex and 6uls from 949 in July.

Thanks

I am curious too.

Also what were the details on getting the 15x9's + 225/45/15 tires to fit on the NA?
