Question Slow TPS Change

I decided to bite the bullet a few weeks ago, and I bought/installed one of these ECUs. I really like everything that it does, and I'm working to learn all of these settings as fast as I can. When the unit was shipped to me I was using Firmware 1.0 and WARI 1.3. That Firmware had instantaneous throttle response. You could watch the TPS % change as fast as you could modulate the pedal.

Well, tonight I upgraded to Firmware 5, and WARI 5. The TPS has a SEVERE lag to it now. Seems like it updates every 1/4 sec, or slower. I can take my foot and modulate back and forth, and it doesn't seem to change at all. If the car is idling, and I blip to 100% and back to 0%. It may not even see the 100%.

It's causing a SERIOUS lean condition that I have to tried to band-aid with the MAP prediction. something like 500ms/200%, and that's still not enough. I can blip it once or twice, and it will kinda keep up, but then it backfires on a LEAN condition.

When I did the update, I had to go in and redo the MAP prediction table. Is there something else i missed that might have been incorrectly converted from one version to the other? What's going on?

Update: MAP Prediction won't solve my problem. It's now at 1000ms/250% and it still goes 18-21 LEAN with a BOG. This is will 5% throttle! I'm afraid I'm going to blow the engine up.

It free revs like I mentioned (with less that 25% throttle), but any sort of load and it goes into blow me up mode.

TPS problem solved: Modbus was on 500ms instead 100ms. It still doesn't seem as fast as it was with F1/W1, but could be in my head.

Now, back to the transient throttle issues....

Let me know if you have trouble, the ASYNC gain to 100% is the most popular, and set the predictive table a little bit on the high side of your KPA. Extra fuel is never going to really hurt on transients.
