Default COP/Injector wiring

I just finished swapping my 2000 running EMS4 into a 1990. I had COPS and injectors running sequentially on the 2000, which was setup a couple years back. I referred to my original install notes, but now not sure I did it correct this time. I have assumed that both injectors and coils number from 1-4 beginning from front of motor and going straight back in order, and then wires go to pins per schematic (i.e. coil 3 is pin 8 and coil 4 is pin 9). Same would be true for injectors.

Just want to verify that I should not be assuming firing order with regard to the wiring.

After a little more digging into firing order I think it is as follows:

cop1 to coil 1
cop 2 to coil 4
cop 3 to coil 2
cop 4 to coil 3

I probably need to look at my map file and see if that sheds some light. Either way corrections/verifications appreciated.
