Default My Turbo Build

Within a year and a half I gathered all my parts for my turbo build. I wanted to do the build myself. But with a full time job and 2 part time jobs, wife and a 6 yr old son, doing it myself would be close to impossible. Since majority of my parts are from BEGi, I contacted Stephanie if they could just do the turbo install for me. 2 weeks ago, I dropped off my car, and so far these are some of the pictures that I got from Stephanie.

Kudos to Stephanie and Tim! Great crew and customer service. I know my car is in good hands. Looking forward to getting my car back after the build.

Enjoy!

Thanks, yeah, their 3 week build would probably take me 3 months if I did it myself. And being my daily driver I can't afford the downtime.

Looks like you're soon going to be pretty happy with this car. How's that Adaptronic? I didn't know BEGI carried a 2871 Chinacharger, is it a journal bearing unit? What are the specs?

BEGi is installing the Adaptronic too, so I won't know till I get it back. Yes they do carry the 2871, it's got a journal bearing unit. http://www.bellengineering.net/produ...roducts_id=404 I don't know the specs.

How much power is it making? What else do you have done to the car? Does it have an upgraded fuel pump? I'm going to be purchasing an S1 2871 in the next couple of months myself and I'm waiting for the DIYPNP group buy to commence so I can get some experience with the MS before installing FI!

It's not done yet. The car is still with BEGi waiting for the Adaptronic to come back from Australia, then will be tuning it. In the meantime an ACT HD clutch is getting installed. It's still got the stock fuel pump. I am hoping and crossing my fingers I will have my car back in the next couple of weeks.

Dyno was done yesterday. Stephanie is still working on some minor issues with the Adaptronic. I should have my car back pretty soon. Can't wait. She said turbo is laggy which I expected. It's running on wastegate at 12psi. I'll add a MBC when I get my car back. I will also be changing out the midpipe and muffler to a 3" when funds are available.

I think I was a little over $4k, not counting the Adaptronic.
