Default Corifto's Volume 2:Cool titles are for nerds.

AKA-I don't have a cool name for a car yet, as I don't own the car.

Most people will remember me, or at least my old Miata. For those who don't, see below.

(Build Here)

After I sold the Miata, I kinda disappeared for about 3 years or so, give or take. Since then I've had 7 other cars, including 3 S13's, a Camry, Corolla, Legacy Turbo Wagon, and my daily, a '98 Slow as ***** Civic.

I've been wanting another Miata for quite some time, so it's time to get to work.

This thread is going to be a little backwards, as I'm going to be stockpiling parts before buying the actual car. That's the plan at least.

This build is going to be for a car that was better than the SLO KART, similar to where I wanted to take it in the first place. A nice, dropped/mod slammed car, boost, and the ability to break some more necks, and embarrass some Mustang owners.

With that, let's party.

I mean I just yelled at a noob for wanting to do the stock piling parts first, but since you want to buy one of my setups I will let it slide. You also have done this before and prior knowledge and experience.

So you getting a NA or NB?

Lol I appreciate the reconsideration. Yeah, I've had 10 cars since my first in 2008,so it's not my first rodeo.

Definitely buying from you, as we've talked about.

I'm also probably getting a Brain-built DIYPNP once I get the car and know which variant I need.

Definitely NA, I don't fit that well in NBs.

Basically, I have a good, albeit dreadful daily, and don't want to pay for insurance and registration on a miata for 6 months or so while I save for parts, so I'm going parts first.

Your turbo kit, the Brain-built PNP, RX8 yellows, TurboXS RFL, Aem Uego and boost gauge is pretty much the majority of the plan.

So far, I was given a GV rep lip, and bought a set of wheels from PhilsTireService last night.

Tax refund is probably when I'll have to talk to you and see what we can do, everything else will come monthly or so.

I am getting a slight bump in pay, and am keeping my bills the same, so the raise will be primarily used for the build.

Swap the RX8 injectors for Mustang GT500 injectors. They will be slightly more expensive, but will work much better.

I haven't heard mention of them before, but then again once I settled on the yellows, I didn't look too much further. I was getting them new from Advance with the coupons for like $170. I'll take a look at the GT500's.

Oh, and the wheels I got are the Konig Dial-In's, 15x9.

Would advise against that unless you like a leaking BOV. Had one on my car for a couple days until I found out it was leaking pretty badly. Tried adjusting the number of washers to stop it from leaking and it just ended with compressor surge. I know a lot of people like it because of how loud it is, but imo it is garbage.

Here is the thread about them. You will spend $200-225 in total to get them to work. I believe the RX8 injectors are EV6 while these are EV14. Makes a good amount of difference. I run them in my 97 and they are almost as good as my ID1000's that I run in my 94.

Definitely sounds appealing. I'll read through that thread. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I've heard they can be tricky. I've had this one for about three years, after buying it for $20, and it's one of the originals, not a knock off. I'll try it out, since I've never been able to use it, and will buy something else if I have to.

Got this awesome intercooler from Fab9tuning.

Actually got two, one for a friend. Bryan took extra care with the shipping, and was a pleasure to deal with.

So I ended up selling the wheels to Ryan G and will be on the lookout for a 15x8 instead of the 9" I had.

I also got a package in the mail from Nigelt for my injectors.
