Ok so I was working on the car last night and figured out that with a 4runner dizzy cap swap I can mount my turbo the normal way but it is really really close to the dizzy and the charge piping will be even more of a pain in the ***. So I am still going to mount it backwards but these pics show it forwards for anyone who may have wanted to know.

So here is a minor update filled with some fail. I got home at a decent time yesterday so I decided to try and do some work on the car. I have not tested anything since I started all my harness work and I have added, a fuse/relay box, the AEM F/IC, new intake manifold/ throttle body, removed IAC, and moved all the power and grounds from the harness inside the car. I hooked it all up and first major fail I see is the harness is now to short. I do not know how this happened as I did not remove length from the harness just re routed the wires and added the connectors. I am going to open the harness back up and see if I can route it all again or if I have to add length to all the wires witch would suck majorly. I was on the other hand able to get the car started and ran it for a few min at low rpm. So the F/IC is working and everything seems to be pretty good with the manifold. I did accidentally destroy my oil feed line so I will have to order a new one but no big deal there. I will try and keep you guys in the loop.

I have had this car for almost 9 years now and every time I get mad at it I just park it and walk away until I am ready again, and never once has it ever crossed my mind to sell it or its parts for money it will be with me until I kill it for good and thats that. For some reason I really really really really like this car and your not supposed to be attached to cars and all but I am attached to this one.

So after thoroughly molesting my oil feed line the other day I was looking for a nicer way to run it. I have scavenged some parts from work and will be running a 3/16 stainless hard line for the feed line. I think this will work really well and will also allow me to make it look pretty instead of just running over the valve cover like the last one. I will aslo be running a 3/16 hard line from my intake mani to the fire wall and inside the car to my F/IC. I am hoping this will keep me from having weird tuning issues with reading boost like I have heard of due to a long rubber hose into the fuel controller. For anyone who is wondering why have a boost reference in the car the F/IC has an internal map sensor.

Ok so after some massaging of the strut tower. ( about a 1/4 inch at most) I got my turbo mounted and sitting pretty. It took me another few hours to make the new stainless hard line for the feed and the half aluminum half braided drain line. But good news is it in on and I believe it works well. I started for a few seconds to make sure all looked well and it did. I will post pictures as soon as it stops raining. I also have been thinking about my harness a lot and think I will just be cutting into it and extending it by a few inches. I like the way the harness in on the car minus the stuff that needs to be removed now "IE" the idle air control. I will also be relocation my coil and igniter to a new location do not know where yet just it will be happening. I will get some pics of everything as soon as I get a chance.

Just to say, I really really like this build. The 2JZ has to be one of my most favouritest sounding engines ever... hilariously, scarily industrial sounding. I've watched your vids on here about ten times. Good luck with the rest of the build... and hurry up and get moar videos up!

So here is new vid showing my new turbo hooked up and the new intake manifold. Also to show my car running with the ecu and fuel controller on the windshield lol. It all seems to be working pretty good.

This may sound dumb but I cannot get the vid off my phone to a place I can save it and upload it and my youtube upload is not currently working so you will have to deal with the link above. Good news is I took some more **** shots for you all so you can see the madness coming together. you can see in the pictures my nice new intake mani, my new stainless solid turbo feed line, my getto drain line ( but it works) and the fact that my turbo needs a space or something so I do not melt everything in the top hat.

Let the harness work begin. Again!
I have decided to extend my harness 24 inches for what I wanna do. I am rerouting some stuff and making it look pretty. I am still undecided weather or not to take the harness through the fire wall right near the inlet of the turbo where I originally planned or I have been contemplating removing my wiper system and bringing it down through the top of the cowl. It would be hidden and I like this idea I am just unsure if I can make it not leak at all. The last thing I need in a miata is more leaking water. Anyone have any input on this?
