Yes the NB oem 16" alloys clear the 11.75 brakes with no issues. It's just that for performance tires, it's a narrow wheel with limited choices. I used them as my daily wheels on my car.

340 treadwear tires worn to the bars makes for a good time at the track. Only 1.3 sec off my personal best... new RE-71R's are going to happen when these tires are done, it's quite the sleeper with OEM wheels. Also has way better manners with the skinnier wheels/tires. No tram-lining on the highway and parking lot maneuvers are so much easier (I don't have power steering).
The car is a rocketship with the new cold-air intake and skinny wheels/tires. 122.5mph on the long straight. 5mph better than on my best previous lap, and 10mph better than when we figured out the old motor was tired. Also coming on the straight probably 5mph slower with the tires. It pulls hard.
My Dad also wore his Toyo RR's to the cords, so he was having some traction issues at the end of the day:

I made some det cans and am starting to road tune with them...
question- how loud is a detonation event? I heard some soft 'tic' noises (same volume as engine noise) at WOT near 6000 rpm and pulled timing from that region. 'tic' noises went away. is that detonation or should I be hearing significantly louder ping noises?
Anyways- here is my current timing map- based off of braineak's NB2 map from somewhere in the tuning forum. I will probably pull a few degrees from boost areas before going to the track to be safe. will still have much more than before.

No. It has a different bolt pattern than the kraftwerks pulley. I think I'd have to pull the whole Rotrex unit and take it to a press or something.
Also I'm scared of the boost now that I have the 10:1 compression ratio with the new motor.

Don't be. 10.0:1 is fine on pump gas provided you have a good tune and I/C. The original production KW kits for the NB used OEM timing at ~7psi and the little fuel box..without an intercooler. Power comes from timing advance, not lean mixtures. So err on the fat side, runs lots of advance down low and sensible amounts up top. Det cans or good knock sensing will help you find that last 20whp safely.

I/C is questionable... it's the stock one from an MSM. I'd like to keep it because I'm lazy and it doesn't block a lot of the radiator.
I do have the cowl cold air intake and manifold temps are usually +10 or +20 ambient in boost.

Cut hood installed
Blackbird Fabworx spoiler installed
I'll probably spray the hood and trunk flat black to match my hardtop. It's been too cold lately to do it.
Just went to HPR and did the customer appreciation free day. It was crowded, muddy, wet and my front wheel bearing blew up. I had to get a tow home for the first time ever. Luckily I had AAA plus and a free 100 mile tow- saved me about $600.
The hood/spoiler/good tires made the car feel super planted. I didn't get enough time on track to start pushing it before the wheel bearing died, but I imagine it had enough to go a few seconds faster than my personal best.
