Diff leaks are almost always axle seals, sometimes because someone installed used crush washers on the fill/drain plugs. Installing these doesn't take a long time, get it done and cross it off your list.

And I'm confused by #10, do you have a coolant leak or not?

The coolant leak comes and goes. Its not much. Small puddle in the morning some days.

I think the c-clip is bad because I replaced the seal, and it looks farther out than the other.

They have to be banged in there a surprising amount. If it's sticking out more, the diff leak will be horrendous. Get that fixed.

I'll play with it some more next week.

So it pushes all the way in. But comes out farther than the other, hence the idea about busted c-clip

Whats the consensus on the GT500 hood louvre. I've heard you can find them for $70 bucks and I really like the look. Any ideas or links?

I thought about that at one time, but then I discovered the Subie bumper vents. They are the right size, and can be placed on either side of the hood bulge in just about the perfect location. When I get to the shop this afternoon I'll take a pic so you can see what I mean.

Do those vents have plugs? I thought I remember something about them being able to be plugged from rain and debris.

I am trying to decide between the HF bead roller and the vice grip roller. Have you tried the vice grip rollers yet? How did the beads turn out?

Weird, I thought I posted pictures. It turned out freaking awesome.

The cracks are from testing on some scrap pipe. I got a solid bead though, was just testing how far I could push it.

Looks good. I wonder if two washers or a thicker one would give gentler bends?

You're limited by the width of the exhaust clamp.

I guess the bead doesn't have to be huge. It just needs to be big enough the clamp won't slip over it when tight.

Yeah, I think that is tomorrow's project. I'll take a chance on a <$10 tool.

What is your source for aluminum piping? Siliconintakes.com had some decent prices. I haven't spent a lot of time looking though.

For my build I used siliconintakes, a local mandrel bending place, and baxter auto parts.

They don't have plugs but they do come with screens that can be removed.

Hmmm. I'm trying to find a way to keep water out of the engine bay too. Going to do more research.

Just saw your picture. I think they are a little too small for my liking. Singular vents are probably the best but also a little pricy for me. And my gf hates how they look. She actually picked the GT500 vent without knowing anything about it. If I can find it cheap enough I think I'm gonna go that way.
