They so sexy. When are you sending them to me? Going to try and cut rear ones too? Need to know what rotors to buy. I'm probably fine running just 1.8 brakes in the rear.

Got my pads last night from ben, and a bit of tubing to replace my bov pipe, which @turbofan promptly stole and mutilated to fit his intake. So I may need another one.

Hopefully have brackets in the mail to you tomorrow. I'm about to call the metals by the foot place, gonna try and pick up more aluminum because I want brackets now too.
Two are in good shape so far, one is toast, and one is still blank. Well, one should be toast but I guess you could still use it. I'm gonna mill ears on it, because why not.

Because my drawbar didn't have proper air and the endmill was climb milled up and out of the collet. By the time it got to the last little finishing pass it had already pulled out enough to start cutting on end. Once that happened it started really sucking the mill right on out of the collet, milling the step too deep. Stupid rookie mistake, I forgot to turn the compressor on and tormach don't have low air alarms. Now I know.
Look at the pics I posted again. Pay attention to the offset step. I use a 25mm rouching mill to clean out most of the material, then use 3/8 endmill to clean both ends to length as well as the step face.
I can still mill ears on it, but it'll be super duper weak. Sean would have a fit, something about stress risers

I do not have that book.
I had the heads completely redone on the beast a couple years back but I know the shortblock needs to be gone through. The freeze plugs are VERY corroded, I'm just not in the mood to pull a big block out of a truck where the top of the radiator is even with my nipples.
The BEST thing I ever did with the truck was to get a Duraspark distributor rebuilt/recurved by Scott over at reincarnation-automotive.com and now I run an oldschool MSD 6A for ignition along with an MSD coil. All the sparks! and as much precision as you will ever get out of an FE distributor ignition system.
