Went on a nice long drive up in the mountains. Easily pulled my roomates S2000 by a car length or two on just the 1-2-3 pulls. Only issues were a leaky oil feed at the turbo and the valve cover in the back right side. I tightened both and hopefully the leaks will stop. Otherwise so far a successful head gasket change. I'll check my garage floor in the morning and see if I can find any new leaks. Dyno is on saturday, I'm pretty excited.

Topless weather:

Also second gear is still really grindy, and this smurf in my driveway has the smoothest transmission I've ever felt.....

Its so tempting and if it doesn't sell soon I will probably do it.

Even the Jeep went topless today

a year ago, i would have kicked myself in the face for suggesting that a lube would solve the woes of a dying synchro. but you cant argue with what works

Pennzoil Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid (32 oz.) 3501: Advance Auto Parts

my trans crunched something aweful on 2-3 up and 4-3 down shifts. i tried syncromesh as a stop gap and it completely eliminated any griding after about 100 miles. that was many track days and a year+ ago.

I've read about that too. But this is a 120k 5 speed in exchange for my 180k.

Prototype of the GPS module. We built the case upside down on accident. Next version will have the antenna facing up.

Probably, but to be honest that was the hardest part of the whole case. It took us like 7 tries to get the etching right.

Got my new springs installed:

And then my hood latch ate up my turbo kitty sticker :( He was only there for a day.

If any of you sticker people read my thread, I could use another little guy :(

Update to the list:

To-Do:

0. FIND OIL LEAK/BURN (So far so good.)
1. Inconel studs (RX-7 ordered, still need resbond but I think I am going to run without resbond for now because its a biatch to find)
2. Exhaust bracing. (Ordered a 3 inch exhaust clamp)
3. Locking downpipe bolts (Arrived)
4. Seats + Harness
4. Back braces (DIY)
5. Install new springs (550 Front, 350 rear)
6. Oil+water temp guages. (Going with a VEI systems gauge)
7. Helmet (Going to continue to run my open face helmet and wait for sa-2015)
8. Hardtop (Got one)
9. Put beads on intercooler pipes (Probably DIY: DIY $5 charge pipe bead roller - D-series.org, unless someone local knows somewhere to get it done cheap)
10. Find coolant leak. (risky to put this here but so far I haven't lost any coolant)
11. Find diff leak.
12. Heat Shielding. (master cylinder, brake lines)
13. Tune.
14. Break stuff.
15. Manifold relief cuts

Guess something on the dyno broke, so no more dyno for me today.

Tell me about it. If English Racing was open on weekends I would have been in there weeks ago. But weekends are my only free time, unless I can find a dyno in Corvallis.

Seriously, the dyno broke?

If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck.

Also, now that I see your next post... KO is open weekends. Call Kris. $60 for 3 pulls. Still the cheapest around except for on those dyno days, and you have the option to actually do some tuning while you're there, AND... if you can talk Josh into going he can look at your tune as well. It's like 5 minutes from Josh's house.

I guess, something about the Air/Fuel ratio not working. I said I don't really care about AFR but he said they just weren't running it anymore. I hadn't paid yet so idk. I'm sure Ben will know what happened, I'll text him.

If you don't care about comparing to all the other NW cars, then KO is the place to go. I'd be happy to join you for some tuning advice, from what Kris said, he's there to run the dyno, and nothing else, Between runs he's off doing MR2 stuff, unlike Aaron, who's giving you roughly 100 years of experience between runs.

I think I'll do that. I know English racing is the place to go, but I literally cannot be in portland on weekdays, rowing does that to you.

I'll figure out some weekends I can go and compare with your schedule josh.

I'm off this weekend (2/21&2/22), and consistently work every other Saturday/Sunday. So keep track of that pattern, and it'll be much easier to schedule a day were both available.

Purchased another item for the list, found it cheaper than I ever expected to here: VEI Water Temperature (F) and Oil Temperature (F) - egaugesplus

Also received my Jegs exhaust clamp, and it seems really nice for the $6 I paid for it.
