Id prefer a front end loader myself, or a grader I suppose.

Ben saved my *** and made the bung welding somewhat passable. (my attempt before this was horrible, i got about 3/4 of the way round then hit like a pocket of nasty oil or something and made a mess)

This is exactly what it was. I made it about 3/4 of the way around, with a decent bead. Then hit a pocket of something and it went to hell. Ground a bunch out and piled filler in there. Going to smooth it out and powdercoat it.

Oh well, life moves on.

Snagged an oil pan baffle from a fellow forum member. Cheap insurance. Why not. Make some more power from less windage?

Pistons are still out being coated but after they come back everything goes to the machine shop.

Psyber is an awesome guy and sent me his spare compressor cover. Will probably send it off to get powder coated.

Did you not learn from my mistake. At least put an elbow on that port you drilled before you put the engine in the car, since it wont clear the starter.

One of the reasons I feel like doing it haha, on the other hand, that $100 needs to go towards getting my engine running

Build one for someone. Charge them $100. Build your own too.

It's more like $120, but that's when buying in quantity.

Spent some more time working on the manifold. It is a hard design. Not excited to make more of these. Lots of small adjustments. Still struggling to get full penetration on the schedule 40 pipe, but get pretty close. Also added gussets where soviets cracked.
