Nope. Sadly the GoPro pooped itself for some reason.

Alright, ride heights are set (for now). 12.25 front, 12.5 rear. 225 RS3's will be mounted sometime this week, and then thanks to yank my car is getting chauffeured to it's alignment on Friday.

2.0* up front and 1.7* in the rear.

greddygalant, why the 0.05* toe?

From 949:

Quote:

Miatas over 180whp or so can add +1/8" total toe in at the rear to attenuate corner exit power oversteer. Autocrossers forced to run wheels much narrower than optimum for the tire width will usually benefit from 1/8 to as much as 1/4" front toe out (CAUTION, this front toe out rapidly wears your tires on the street).

Although the current track tune is below 180, it may go above there in the future.

Did you mean 0.05* per side? Or .05 inches?

Would you look at this. Turns out I did pull the master cylinder and booster from the 01. Maybe they will go on this week too.

I think 1/8 total toe would be 1/16 per side, right?

I was wrong. The recommendation is in degrees.

So .05 degrees per tire is .04 total inches of toe in, so not much at all.

IIRC, the amplitude of the sine wave coming out of a VR sensor varies with the speed, and can go quite high.

Increase in ride height will help with your tire lock up. I'd highly recommend a new set of tires though. Eds are trash.

Weren't you using two completely different brands of pads front and rear? It may exacerbate the unevenness in your braking system if the pads are reaching their zenith of mu at different points in the braking zone. To achieve ultimate enlightenment they must climax together, grasshopper.

My sleuthing has me realizing that I only bled on front brake. Then they called my session. One side squishy and the other firm could cause that issue. Another thing is I had an instructor who was actually pushing me into the braking zones instead of just pointing at the line. I had never braked that hard or late before.

Track days are already paid for :( otherwise I would agree with you.

Next few weeks will give me a better idea on what I can afford. If we find a rental I'll probably get new tires, if I end up buying then all money will be going to that.

Swapping master cylinders/booster sometime this week. Do I need to bench bleed? I assume I'll end up with no fluid in the system and have to bleed them all a lot.

****** pissed at the car. Went and got more welding stuff instead. Maybe I'll weld the caliper on.

$20 bench grinder. I've been wanting one of these forever, pretty much mandatory now that I'll be dealing with tungsten.

Getting an 80cf bottle tomorrow I think. Maybe bigger. Depends on if I can upgrade sizes at any time. Also getting some lanthanated tungsten. 3/32" I think.

Then playtime.
