I have the non-ht bar, and it fits my hardtop just fine without latches. I am tall and wanted it to be as high as possible. But 100% get your seats first. Mine almost interfere.

How tall are you? 6' 2"? 'Cause if your're that tall, and clear the bar, I should have no problem at 6' on the money.

6'1" ish. My seat is aluminum and mounted straight to the floor, with the rear mounts cut out. The non-hardtop bar being forward can interfere with some seats. But the bar fits under my hardtop, just can't use side latches.

Nice, thanks. How much room do you have between your head and the bar?

I was 99% stuck on getting the HT bar until you posted. I don't mind mounting my seat to the floor.

i was going to bitch at you for not utilizing the beautiful tubing setup i sold you to its full extent, but i got busy and forgot.

if i knew/noticed you had glass, i would have said something as i thought to myself when i was doing mine: "self, this will never work with a glass soft top".

I think if I mount the outer tube all the way forward, I can probably get a good 3-4 inches of adjustability, but honestly it doesn't matter much to me. The outer pipe warped pretty good, so I spent about 15 minutes grinding and clearancing. I don't think it would slide with paint anymore.

I kinda butchered the whole thing, but it works well as is.

Also, anybody have ideas on mounting the oil cooler? It has no mounting tabs on it or anything. I was thinking about building some brackets that sandwiched it somehow maybe a little cage around each corner?

Does it have bolt/screwholes? Surely it does.

Don't think so, I'll take another look when I get home. Its a used oil cooler off ebay, would not be surprised if it doesn't have any.

They also maybe have been cut off at one point, but there weren't any sharp edges or obvious cuts.

Edit: Ugh, they look cut off from my pictures. This will get interesting.

in your defense, that was a bitch to get right. i spent a lot of time lining it up, breaking tac welds, and trying again. any warpage will bind it up too.

Who the heck would cut the mounting tabs off an oil cooler?

Looks like you'll have to fabricate some kind of frame for it.

No idea, I emailed the seller to see how he mounted it. I'm thinking angle aluminum and some rubber to insulate it. If I can support it on both ends from the fan bolt holes with a frame I think it will work.
