I don't care what you do bb, as long as you make it to MMRLS

I'm not sure yet. I hate doing things twice. All that a rods only build would do would be take away money from a real build.

I can afford a baller engine build. But as of now I think that saving my extra cash is a better idea.

I'll look into it more. Im sure if I have a turbo setup ready to bolt on i might think differently. I will know more about my next few years in the next month when hailey hears back from nursing school.

Maybe I'll drop one of my VVTs off at machine shop to have them look it over. If the block is intact the theoretically all it needs is a new oil pump and water pump. It only had 120k on it when the car crashed.

Also for the record my current setup is by no means slow. It's not like I'm rolling around 1.6na life.

Maybe I'll ask Santa for some ebay rods for Christmas.

You know what I mean by fast/slow. Take it from experience: long term car/build plans almost never actually happen. That's why they're always praised so much, because of how rare it is that someone actually completes.

Wait I'm forgetting this is not a build thread, my bad

I... Um... I have a built 1.8. JSYK. You can put it on that built 1.8 and I'll let you tune it. Deal?

Well I finally bought a turbo. So that's more than I had before. I'll make a decision when I find out about Hailey's school.

Because she told me the other night (even got it in writing) that when she's making nursing money she will help pay for my truck and miata builds

For now im just going to beat off to my new turbo. and keep posting pictures about all the driving I'm doing

Also this **** is a build thread see my fuel system ****?

You just don't come visit this thread where all the ADHD kids hang out.

Based off seans build I could do a rods only for ~500. Maybe throw in a boundary pump because I need to replace the one on the engine anyways after it broke.

Real question. Car was in an accident. Oil pan and pump are cracked. Block appears to be OK. Is visual inspection sufficient or should I have a machine shop look it over.

Do it.
I have tons of spare 1.8 junk if you have a problem on your way down.
And you get a free pit stop at my place with garage privileges.

Can't you just find a new bare block for ~$100?
Just me?
