So, I was buttoning up.. and the threads came straight out of my head!

Now I need some helicoils, but has this happened to anyone else? It happened on ALL 4 outer studs.. I didn't even torque them down- at all- and they just let go..

Thanks to everyone who helped me, especially you Rafa-- and of course Preluding for helping with the AEM transaction.

Thanks a lot!

So, an issue appeared while I was fine tuning the upper rpms.. My clutch just lets go! At around 4k the revs just fly up after my boost plateaus at 8psi.. I'll turn it down to 6psi, since that is the stock's limit, however, I'll be ordering a F1 Stage 3 this weekend.

I don't drive like a nut nor do I slip the clutch; so, this was surprising. At this power level, I wasn't expecting to need a stronger clutch. Wish I didn't just pick up a new suspension; and I should have read this forum more thoroughly prior.

Will be installing this with a resurfaced PP, FW and a new PB, RB Thanksgiving weekend..

Thanks for asking, everything is awesome.. Looking forward to warmer weather; the Miata has been in storage since November.

Over the winter, I deleted the evap and installed a catch can... Also installed a new battery, haha.

Next week, I'll be installing a bigger, gt28 Churbo.

When work calms down a little, I'll install my Tokicos.

That's about it for my little update. Did everything work out with your AEM unit? How's the car otherwise?

Electronics are A1 thanks! Oil pump needs replacing, hopefully this month if the weather warms a little.

Glad yours is still working then! You'll be running same turbo as me, can't wait to see the gains!

Haha, I don't think our cars are really comparable.. I'm excited for the bigger turbo, though. The g2554 was too small and spooled too early (never thought I'd say that) for highway driving. One of these days, I'll get a professional tune-- I wont lie, as long as it took me to tune the g25, I enjoyed the process.

Sorry to hear about your oil pump.. Knowing you, it shouldn't be a difficult job.

Still running 5 psi until the clutch breaks in; that's why the BC isn't hooked up.

Currently welding up an intake pipe, so excuse the mesh.

Oh, yes: my turbo is red. I didn't like the chrome finish. When I have time, I'll sand blast the housing.

If you are referring to the video above, that was running with an open waste gate and my preliminary tune. The video was from the night I received Preluding's AEM EMS.

Rich is an understatement, haha. Thanks for the comment

= [ I was excited, haha.

I really miss the GT2554; boost at 3.5k isn't fun, lol.

1994 / China Charged GT2871 / 1.8 bp / AEM EMS / WRX Injectors / eBay 6-puck
