Default My First Turbo build!

This Is my baby as soon as I bought it for $1400, I decided to keep the body stock while I get a little extra power then to work on everything else.

I replaced the driver seat, as well as rebuilt my shifter with a moss miata kit. but no pictures of that
Then I got a LC-1 wideband and Boost guage, no pictures. Picked up a T25 from a s13 sr20det as well.
And then finally just grabbed this last night
And that's where I am as of right now. I hope to have the build done by February, I will update as I get more parts. And I should be installing my wideband and megasquirt Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for looking for right now

Okay im looking for someone to hold my hand. Throughout all of the research I can't find what I need on the LC-1 Wideband. I have 6 stripped wires and 4 on the guage. What is the black wire for, and which one do I splice into the blue stock 02 sensor connector. I have megasquirt installed.

I ended up getting it wired up, I have to finalize the wiring and mount the guage. It started on the base map, but wow was it off. Got the base map from DIYautotune and i was going through the constants. It said I had 8 cylinders, 30lb injectors, crazy things. It was running at 11:1 afr and just smelled like fuel. So I called it a day and changed up the tune In my house. Going to try again today.

Are you sure you were running the right base map?

yeah, it was the 9495 on diyautotune for ms1. I am pretty sure my map sensor is wrong in the setting so I'm going to see today if I can change it and if it was wrong. My tables are in volts which is very annoying.

after I changed it everytime I load the map it doesn't change is I guess it didn't touch those settings. The only thing it is doing now is stalling out because my map is reading 32 kpa and I think I have the wrong sensor selected. So when I get home from school today I'm going to load it up and see what it says.

That map is old firmware stuff. I would only use it on a temporary project and copy/learn from that.

Most likely not. You are using a 10 year old ECU. They "work", just no where near as well as newer better MS, nor is there a ton of support for them anymore, because the majority of people have upgraded.

I'm just trying to learn and get it running like stock for when I strap my turbo on. Would it be better to sell it on here and get a ms2? Or just work with it. I kinda wanted to do a budget build and it works on a budget.

Maybe you should actually take the time to learn megasquirt instead of blindly and ignorantly plugging in "maps" and somehow thinking your car will tune itself

I have. The issue is all the information is not on ms1 so there are a lot of differences. I am trying to get it started, then tune it. How can I learn if I can't get the car to idle?

You need to be searching threads from 2007-2009 time frame to get any info on tuning a MS1. You also really need to read all of THIS several times to get an idea of what you are doing.

Part of tuning the car is getting it to idle.

okay thank you, I mean I know my issue right now is my MAP sensor is wrong. It might just idle when I get that put in. But I won't know till later. I start reading up on it.
