got some more work done today swapped out the front sump for a rear sump
sub-frame notched

had to make some room for the starter since its on the drivers side now not the passenger

and basically where its going to sit

shifter ends up right where i need it

got plenty of room for the steering rack

and so much room for the starter now

So what's your HP goal on the na-T build?
I know the miata is lighter, but as I recall in the supra/sc applications, those W55 and W58 trannies were on borrowed time at much over 350 whp. The R154 usually fared better, which was where a lot of guys ended up since the setup to the V160 is such huge jump.

Here is what i would suggest for your own good. Remove the "drift" from the title and only add pics of the build.

My friend just blew his GE block so we put a GTE one but he was pushing 500, where the GE is really only good for 400. This will be interesting.

From my own first hand experience, I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with you on that.

That's the safe zone.
Friends IS300 pushed 450 and then he upgraded the turbo. Boom. So please tell me how you disagree.

I like what you've done with it.

Well, for starters, I believe the IS had the later vvti version didn't it? Anyway, it's been quite a few years, but I'm pretty sure those later versions used in the IS had weaker rods or something, didn't they? The earlier GE motors, as in the Supras and my '92 SC300, were stouter and stood up quite well to 500+. Lots of examples out there.

Greg's haiku for you:

Mad air chisel rape
One more NB dies from 'drift'
Texas hangs her head

This is extraordinarily anecdotal evidence.

There once was a nice NB...
For drift "it needs 2JZ"...
The smoke was from crack,
The car got a hack,
Now it's life will end very short-ly.

Vlad, when I saw it was a white NB, you were the first guy I thought of. I was like, "why, oh why does it have to happen like this?!? I hope Vlad doesn't see this, or it's gonna sting."
Sorry brony...I feel your pain.
