Faeflora and I celebrating his 6,666th post:

Fun fact; I'm actually not the one wearing cammie pants.

OK

here is how car sat before I "lowered" it.

Stock wheel gap

Had some issues with the spring compressors. Solved them and punched a hole through the body for clearance.

The amazing finished product. Amazing.

How did we get here? Now this is an excellent tip for removing a stock shock WITHOUT having to compress the spring. SO MUCH WIN <3 First corner with spring compressors took like 4 hours. This one took 20 minutes.

I also had an issue with the endlink binding. So I took it off. Unfortunately, I stripped the endlink ball joint threads and couldn't get the nut off. Solution

There we go.

Got both sides. Put the car back on the ground and went for a little test drive. 100 feet down the street i was hearing some wierd thudding noise. then a big poosh. Run roh

Kinda hoping for a vid of you cutting through the shock body. Or fuel lines. Or both.

You DON'T need a spring compressor to take off the shocks btw.

I am going to say "buying this car was only a distraction so you guys temporarily forget about the other car".
and Min...
WTF are you thinking cutting stuff up like that?

Naaaah more like "I'll paint the valve cover" and pull the motor and tranny in the process.

You can even do it without the long bolt method.

He called me and asked how to remove the shock. He wanted separate the upper ball joint or something stupid like that. I told him to stop being stupid and just pull the long bolt.

something tells me the time elapsed between the drunken debauchery thread posts from fae and the posts in his build threads is insufficient.
