Apparently a modern gsxr1000 will run 9's @ ~150mph. Danyyyyym.

I'd be very interested to see what this thing can do in the standing mile.

My brother just sold his 550whp STI, and could just beat it from a 40+ roll.
Depending on traction, I don't see you having a problem running one down.

Whenever I've seen modern litre bike vs car street races on Youtube, it always seems to take 700whp upwards in anything to match them. Bike has no lag between gears too...

(Whatever happened to that comedy lag **** take video that someone made on mt.net a while ago? Was epic lulz)

Let me know when you ever do this. I'd like to tag along and run mine.

Highly doubt it, but I guess it depends.

This sounds more like it. A 550 miata I could see, a 550 STi not so much. 1000lbs weight difference is a whole lot. Normally it takes heavy cars 700 or so like you said.

Thanks to the hardest-to-install-miata-clutch in the world and flatshift, I don't have lag between gears either! I did lose a race on my old setup to a lightly modified Audi S5 because of gearing though. No flatshift then.

BTW I think Savington wrote that flat shift is not that hard on the transmission. THE *** IT ISN'T The whole car goes BANG when I release the clutch pedal and the disc slams back on the flywheel.

I thought savington disabled his flat shift to spare the transmission.

He doesn't do flat shift. He only loses maybe 1psi between shifts though.

I had a torque wrench...and I hit him. And I kept hitting him, and when I stopped...I couldn't feel my arm.
