Also, my tires just came in. Wheels must be on their way as of today. What should I get? I'm pretty set on the konig wideopens, so will likely be a set of these. Right now these are my color options:

Personally leaning towards gold right now:

This image inspired me:

Other options are silver or bronze. I'm getting the +25 offset ones for sure.

What say you? I'm ordering tonight, they would have been ordered last week but i couldn't decide.. lol.

I'm running RPF-1s. Really good, light, tough wheel.

The only downside to that style is that it doesn't have room for really big brakes (it's trading off brake room for structural integrity). Not sure if the Konig has that issue too, but it might since it mimics the RPF-1. Just something to consider if you're planning a BBK in the future.

The 6UL and wheels like the Enkei PF01 are optimized for maximum brake room. Tradeoff is a bit more weight to keep the strength up. Nothing's free.

You're not a fan of the Flatouts? They're the same specs and look better imo. Something about the Wideopens look weird to me. The lip perhaps?

Wheels are wheels, as long as they're round.

I like the wideopens... I have them in silver... Just waiting on my tires. This was my inspiration

I LOVE the flatouts. Honestly I think they look better on an NB though, while the wideopens look better on an NA to me. Just preference I guess, but the flatouts look very modern and suited for an NB to me for some reason.

2560? or step up to a 28. I'm not sure. I just know I want 250whp, and at my altitude that is difficult without a big turbo.

get a 2871 0.64.

will blow your mind and make that power at a moderate boost (read: not create all kinds of heat and pressure to blow **** up)

If it were me I'd just tune it the best i could and live with whatever power you have with your turbo. Get everything else cleaned up the way you want it and enjoy it while you start building the other motor. You could always build the other head first and then slap it on.

Then do the other half at your leisure. Or just live with it till you have everything built the way you want it and do a super swap out with new motor and turbo etc...

It just depends on when you plan on having the other motor rebuilt and all that.

i think 250 will defiantly be easily achievable with a gt28r especially on e85.

I just picked one up myself, we will see what i can pull.

Thanks for the input guys. I was contemplating grabbing the head off the motor in the car (bp4w head) this winter sometime and doing a rebuild on it, then putting it back on the longblock that's in the car.

I'm not in a hurry to build that other bottom end since my current one seems fine, just the leaky valves need attention first and foremost, then a built bottom end to go with the refreshed head later.

As for the turbo, honestly I'm trying to find something within $400 or so. A s14/s15 2560 could be had for that money, or a china 28 of some kind..

Right now I'm going e85 with the current turbo to run more boost, so that is the #1 plan after I fix my oil leak.

Did a seafoam treatment on the car, sucked up 2/3 of a bottle of the stuff while revving at 2.5k rpm. Let the car die while sucking it up and sat for 15 mins. Started back up and drove it, flogged on it a bit on wastegate pressure (4psi) to clear out the smoke. Car feels good now, not sure if its any better or whatnot but it sure didn't hurt. Plan on doing maybe another treatment and then re-doing the leakdown test to see if the results changed. I'm not betting on it or anything, but will be interesting to see if things improved.

Can out of adjustment valves cause my leakdown results?

Blue and gold it is. I've yet to see this combo (with these wheels).

According to mr. virtual dyno I'm currently sitting at 188whp @ 7psi. Weird that this one does not drop off on power at all now at this boost level. Feels pretty fun even at this power level. I'm not going to lie though, i want 230+whp NAO.

Getting a free walbro 255 from a buddy this week. Should get my new cam seals in this weekend. Looking to fix the oil leak, switch to e85, and play with EBC soon.

It's a MSPNP1 (MS1) ecu. I actually am going to use your writeup to tune in my GM EBC solenoid once i switch over to e85.

Wideopens FTW. Gold will look ok. I'm a fan of the silver though...

Yip, big fan of your car man! I really like the gold/blue scheme and wanted to try something different. If i could have picked any color it would have been a nice gunmetal grey, the silver is nice but I'm not a huge fan of the light silver.
