I'm very very much considering this for a winter build. Should be a good easy first engine build for me.

I figure mild bottom end build + refreshed head + churbo+e85 = 280-300whp

What china turbos would you gays recommend? It's either something like this, or an OEM s14/s15 turbo which is slightly bigger than what I have.

I'm thinking something that will be fun now at around 250whp, but can make 300+ when i get my spare block built.
Why don't you turn up the boost, build your motor, then turn up the boost more on the current turbo and then decide if you want a bigger turbo or not.

I love you. Your right though, I'm getting ahead of myself. More boost on this turbo soon. Got my wheels on last night and will be getting an alignment asap so i can enjoy them.

Pics soon.

So I rolled all 4 of my fenders using a latilla cut in half. New Mexico style, lol. Worked perfectly, same exact idea as a baseball bat, but the wood was a bit softer so it took a little more effort than a bat i'd imagine. Also the softness of the wood almost was a buffer to keep me from going overboard, would recommend the latilla roll.

Spent a few hours in the shop today getting the ride height where I want it. Took a level to make sure my garage floor was mostly flat. Luckily there was no real slope on the slab since the "garage" was never meant to be a garage in the first place. Set it up at 4-1/4 front and 4-1/2 rear at the pinch welds with about 170lbs of **** in the drivers seat.

Took a few hours but I believe I got it where I want. Going to drive it and take it back by the shop to check the levels all around once more before I get it aligned this week.

Blah blah blah, here's pics:

Haha, I ran out of daylight after playing with the suspension after work today. It was either that or the flash, and flash looks like ****.

edit: and like hornetball said, it was raining all afternoon.

I'll get some pics in the daytime over the weekend

That's what it looks like when it rains in NM.

Love the rain we're getting right now. Rain in July! Amazing. Everybody's happy.

Nice pink car. Your wheels are saying "it's not easy being green."

I'm thinking you should take a breather and get some nice shots this weekend!

Yeah, going to be painting it in the garage. Not 100% sure when though, because thoughts of built motors are dancing in my head and that may take priority.

It's got this kind of haggard track rat look going for it right now, i rather enjoy it for the time being. It WILL eventually see fresh paint though, I'm going to paint it myself in my garage.

First I gotta attempt to build a motor myself though.

It never ends, yo.

Took a few more pics with the crappy point and shoot. The car was DIRTY, but it's been raining every day for the last few weeks (thank god), so no way was I going to waste time washing it just to drive home down a dirt road.

Yes, the pictures are still a little blue. I waited for the sun to pop out to grab these, or else they would have been REALLY blue.. lol.

I would drive the hell out of your car.

I want a smurf.

Anyway, do you know how to adjust white balance on your camera? Often even the simplest cameras have an adjustment for it. That will fix the blueness. (Of the surroundings)
