No, my priority is to get it sorted with the parts i have and catch up on some maintenance first. Has a green radiator and timing belt has not been changed.

It'll wear the Swank Force Racing Bilstein setup.

And some 15x9s i just ordered.

I ummm.... did a big burnout, bounced the rev limitter a few times, ran it out of brake fluid, the decided to see if it had oil in it.

In that order.

Then pumped some old school hip hop on the phat Bose stereo. (Seriously might leave that because it's hilarious.)

Are you just going to keep us in suspense about the price you paid?

Oh. Didn't know that was something people cared about.

$2300.

Zero rust, strong motor, buttery smooth shifter, 97k miles.

I need to examine goals and options harder. I'm not convinced just yet that it's close to the light end of the available stuff, nor that it'll be best for power. Sounds really nice though.

eww, why jongbloeds?

I mean I absolutely LOVE them, but would never put boat anchors on a n/a track rat.

Because cheap and strong.

And because i've had bowel movements bigger than the weight difference between them and 6uls.

Let's try to keep the world in perspective, here.

I weigh 150lbs. 2lbs heavier wheels isn't going to ruin my car, and at $432 shipped, I really dgaf.

I heard that every pound of unsprung weight is worth 7'ish pounds of sprung? Plus, that rotational mass is going to hurt you as well. Either way, I think it's bad *** and jealous of that deal, body damage or no. I'd be tempted to make it nice. Glad it's not me that bought it

I mean in the grand scheme of things, if you're not trying to be ultra competitive and squeeze out every last .0001 second out then it's no big deal.

I'm just saying if I was building an n/a miata, I'd make sure to run the lightest stuff.

On a street car I probably wouldn't have even made the comment

Would spending twice as much for 6uls that aren't in stock right now help me win the HPDE?

Only if you put the 949 patch on your fire suit and wear it to dinner after.

Anyways, lucked out and there was a 2002 in the junkyard. Pulled the entire interior out of it for $138. Won't use it all but i wanted all of it just in case.

Hell yes it would.

That's what I had to keep telling myself when I clicked the buy button on 750 shipped new 6ULs that aren't in stock.
