That is not too bad. It is capable of more with lots of practice and some modifications that are allowed in bone stock category.

haha thanks gehs

it was more just to get a baseline for the car

In other news, my ms3 is here. And the dude managed to break the plastic vacuum line nipple on the outside of the case
outside

inside

Gotta find a replacement.
Luckily the map sensor is a couple inches inside, and connected to this thing via a silicone line, so nothing aside from the nipple seems to be damaged.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE where I can find something like this? Its basically a double ended vacuum nipple with thread in the middle and two nuts that tighten it to the wall.

Asked Rev, he said its called a "through-the firewall fitting" and to look for one at home depot. I'll try that today.

All that sound proofing added 2 seconds on your car. You should strip it all out and daily drive with ear plugs in. You know, if you were a man!

(adding sound insulation was the best thing I did to my car)

15.8 doesnt seem bad to me. That's about what my buddies 07 civic SI was doing (with a higher trap speed) it's a 4 door and whatnot, but it actually yanks on the topend surprisingly well.

Send an email to the DIY guy, I'm sure they'll send you one for pretty close to free (I might have one with all my stuff in the storage, if I find it, i'll drop it in the mail!)

DIY guy? as in DIYautotune?

BTW I went to EVERY SINGLE hardware store yesterday including all the car/parts stores and home depot and walmart, and every place I could think of to carry something like this.

NOTHING

AT all. I was shocked. I found every fitting and vacuum tee under the sun, but not something like this.

Buklhead Vacuum Fitting

1/8" Bulkhead Vacuum Fitting DIYAutoTune.com

Pic is wrong but the description is what you want, yes?

Here is a 1/4" one in brass. Maybe Eaton has them in 1/8" somewhere?

yep, definitely sounds like a winner
I have no idea why google search didn't bring up DIY. I even used the same words.
Thanks. Hopefully its not like $10 for shipping or something absurd.

1/8" brass hose barb to male 1/8" NPT fitting + 1/8" brass hose barb to female 1/8" NPT fitting + some epoxy = ghetto bulkhead fitting.

The above fittings "should" be available from ACE hardware

I didn't want to ghetto it up, technically I coulda put together something like that from parts I saw at the stores I went to.

I'll be ordering stuff from DIY soon anyway (still need a gm ait) so this is perfect.

yeah, but I don't want to have to pull apart the case if it comes off or something. or even worse - break the map sensor nipple off somehow

this orientation is actually pretty cool: if something happnes (as it already did), you just replace the fitting and the map sensor is untouched

I considered that, we even discussed it in this thread, but I ended up with a much much better setup thanks to EO2K. When it hopefully goes on, I will be shooting for 200/200 to start off, and then just go from there.

ALLTHEMIDRANGE won't be a reality on stock rods lol
been there, done that, bent all 4 rods at only 12psi on a spud.

I really really want to see what that manifold has in it, and that 200/200 number should be cake. Hows the SR rebuild going?

You should build a motor and put a 2554 on it.

I shipped the wheels/shaft to GPop Shop for balancing. Just wasn't comfortable rebuilding a turbo without re-balancing it proffessionally.

Gotta check in with them actually, its been a few days.

No, but you already knew that.
