How should I go about diagnosing the brake system. Pull the pads? Bleed it some more? The pedal now feels mushy all the time.

Stoptech pads on 1.6 brakes.

ATE Type 200 fluid.

I also have some sort of rear diff leak. Not sure if it is from the seal between the case and pumpkin, or from the drain/fill plug.

It's the pads. Replace and move on.

Did you use new crush washers?

Getting some used cobalts from a local, I'll pull the pads sometime this week. I don't have another track day before a double header at thunderhill. Maybe I'll try and do the July BMW day to make sure everything is good.

Used the vinyl cutter at work today to cut out a template for the new hood vent. It should make placement and cutting about a million times easier.

@humming

It does. But I think I'm going to be selling them. I found cobalts for 50 bucks locally, will be running those for the next 3 track days. If that doesn't fix it then I'll either burn the car or throw money at the problem

...just kidding, I'll screw it up 5 ways sideways and then find a good solution, I'm pretty used to that by now.

No more power on the stock engine. But I actually might be buying another 4.1 torsen soon....honestly I'm just not going to the strip until I learn how to not wheel hop.
