i'm not talking window screen, but more like 1/4" screen. something to keep gravel from wedging itself in your pads. you should have plenty of air pressure at speed to overcome airflow issues. especially with the "loose" screen.

V-band toys arrive friday, then "Sprayed" is making the IC pipes and mating the exhaust, then I have to get it to Exatorq's dyno for tuning (which is likely to be 30-45 minutes) then drive the everliving **** out of the car on the street before Hallett for a shake-down.
4-of us put the motor, oil cooler, rad, basically we did everything to get the car to run again tonight. None of those ******* ever come to my god damn apartment to help me...except for Johnwag who I owe.

I do not like being rushed, you can see it in the quality of the welds (I didn't take pics of the inside of the pipes for a reason ). And I had to redo the larger double slip twice. But the welds willl hold or I will fix or give Hustler his money back...i'd love to run this setup on my car.

This is only half of it. I have to make this all over again for thesnowboarder. Then a nice long break, maybe do an intake or finally turbo meg's cooper. Now it's time to finally &

Tim,
I'm sorry to put the rush on you, but I'm a simple man and I really want it for the hallett event, informal miata challenge the next weekend, NASA TT the weekend after that. i think its pretty bad *** that you put in the long-hours this weekend just so I could put a smile on my face.
Thanks

I really want you to have it for the Hallett event too. If not I would have said...no? hehe. The double slips gave me more grief that I though they would, and I ran out of argon, that's all. I have a spare smaller tank for my MIG but it made it tricky to purge; lotza melted ducttape everywhere. Not as pretty as usual but it's fine. You run mild steel IC pipes.

Tim you make that look easy! All I need is a bunch of pipe, a head flange, and I already have my $9.99 HF angle grinder, and $80 flux core MiG welder. So I'm good to go, right? Did I miss somewhere that explains why you're using double slip joints? The whole downpipe looks much more complicated than Sav's, was he using a v-band attachment opposed to your springs?

I'm nursing a semi after looking at the DP photos.
Also, just to **** you off, Trey, I'll tell you that I thought about putting my oil cooler there, but decided that I'd rather not have it get media blasted the first time I decide to play Farmer John (I go off at least once per day).
