I feels ya. It has to be close to "ready" or "reliable" for track use now. If Tim gives his blessing to the idea, I'm going to get ARTech to build a "crane" to see if we can stop the harmonic vibration.

If whatever I do doesn't fix the CHRA problem then I'll just have to save up coins and buy a V8 or possibly stuff a TDR blower in there. After driving this car on the street and especially the track, there is no substitute for a dual purpose street/track toy, it may just end up with a different power plant. The engineering is there however, I should be good to go. Without Tim/absurdflow though, I would not be where I am with this car. I'm really happy that hit "fit me in" to his schedule.

Its a god damn shame that tial will make vband exhaust housings but they use bolts to secure the CHRA to the housing. They need to make one of these for mitsubishi CHRAs, all vband/snap ring.

That was my immediate reaction when I say the "gore" with the SHRA.

I'm surprised to see you say that considering the few TDR guys i've spoken too seem to be anti V8 swaps. The last time I spoke to Gary was maybe a year ago, but at the time he in particular didn't seem to think much of v8 miatas. He said they were great at the local meetup, but not good for much else. But then again he also had a 280whp supercharged NB at the time. So maybe he's a little partial

I'm sure I would be.

I appreciate the fact that you appreciate me. XOXO

Have ARTech do whatever you think is best, it's your mani. I'll still fix it if it cracks or whatever but hopefully that doesn't happen.

And if you go V8, I can give you the hook up on Jesel valvetrain parts whether you go LS or Windsor. 8500rpm is pretty tame, at least with the windsors.

EDIT: YEAH I agree about that dust, man that's horrible.

Hustler go buy a $10 piece of plywood, $5 can of expandifoam, and fix the gaps between your sheds. Then get your own walmart cd player and rock your Brittany Spears loud enough to drown out his country....a clean shop is a happy shop.

Edit: Man that would really **** me off, the dust that is.

The last thing I need is for someone to tell me I can get a deal on building an 8500RPM SBC (can't afford an aluminim ford motor).

I was thinking about how Emilio breaks throttle bodies...harmonic drama could be affecting the CHRA stuff.

Good to see you got it running. I missed a track day today in my 1.6 N/A because I had a stuck brake bleeder bolt. And I mean stuck...

11.5psi feels so slow for some reason...the guy in the C6Z disagrees, but I sure was bored, lol. I may put the boost controller in today and play at 18psi.

I know the feeling, I was told I would get use to boost quick, and I did, I just didn't expect it to happen so fast. Now anything under 14psi feels really slow. I was stuck around 10psi while trying to sort out my boost control. It got so bad I took my wife for a ride doing several 0 to 10psi runs, I told her the car seems really compared to a month ago, and she told me I was crazy. She said the car now scares her.

I can't imagine what 18psi would feel like especally from a really nice turbo.

Good feeling smoking V8s though right?

Had my first "confirmed" kill on a Mustang GT with intake/exhaust and summer rubber yesterday. Small fries for you...but the look on his fast as I pulled on him in second made my day.

Glad to see you got it back together. I REALLY hope it runs well for you.

Last night I was dicking around and noticed that in 6th its making 11.5psi at like 3200rpm in 65* ambient temps, lol

I was also cut off by a "big **** truck" diesel that poured black smoke so I rhomped him too. Then at the light he decided he wanted to be my friend.

This car is a lot faster than it was with the log manifold. I love this little car.

Can't seem to get a 0-60 in less than 4.6 according to pocket dyno and my buddy with the stop watch gets about the same. 0-100 is only 7.6. How is this possible?

btw, this time I clocked the CHRA to 15* higher on the water-out side and I can hear it gurgle when parked, and it didn't before. Apparently Garrett know what they're talking about. This must be a better CHRA than the last because now its making 11.5psi in 5th at 3300rpm. Cool.

Higher on the outlet? I'd say higher on the inlet, lower on the outlet.
