Happy to make you proud, couldn't have done it without all you guys' help. So much love on here.

Serious question, if I get 12.6 can I claim mid 12's or do I need a 12.5?

I just need 4 and a/2 100ths to claim mid 12's. I know I can pick up a tenth on my 60'.

Yup! He does and I learned from you guys.
Why do you think I still don't have slicks on my car?
Mechanical empathy is the answer to a reliable Miata.

Also scared from that broken diff housing video.
Maybe with some v8r RUCA's and a 6 speed when I get to building my other motor.

In twenty years I have made hundreds of passes in my car and never broke a diff. My best nitrous passes were consistent low 1.7's with a best of 1.71. A few broken axles, but that was due to an incorrect ride height.

How much power was your car making?
What were the trap speeds on those runs?
There's a big difference between shock loading in lower gears vs just simply overwhelming the teeth/gear.

I occasionally enjoy not listening to sound advice. I will be getting slicks sometime after i get my RS4's

From what ive read from him in the past is that he is on slicks, and is good at launching.

Its been beat to death before, but you can kill a torsen at 220hp with wheel hop like I did. And they also hold up to 350+hp like lots of other people hafe found.

Oh yeah we beat this to death for sure, but I'm talking specifically about the 5sp with mechanical empathy (which assumes no hop) being simply overpowered (or overwhelmed with torque, whatever) and shaving off gears from that alone.

But hey, Carlos promised us glory runs when his built engine is ready, which will be really entertaining

But why are you talking specifically about 5spds when OP had an msm trans?

Don't worry it will be fun. I plan to have a friend bring a spare pair of axles and a tranny with tools so I can maybe get home without a tow. If not, it's all part of the "gayme."

One of these new big power, built MKTURBO cars need to get to a 1/4 mile and whip my *** so Lars can say he makes the least expensive 11 second Miata turbo kit.
