Certainly not clean water, but that probably has something to do with how long it's been since I cleaned the carpets. Doesn't seem to be coolant though.

Also got a huge storm the other day and the car stayed dry. idk...................

Sidenote: If I was going to run E85:

Should I just swap the pump and a 1:1 NA FPR? Or should I spend the extra moonies on an aftermarket FPR? The first route would make switching to E85 like 50% cheaper.

It is also worth noting that I am considering water/meth instead of E85. At this point with the car, I really won't see the added benefits of running E85, as I am so close to the "safe" limits of the motor and trans. Decreased knock ceiling would be about it. I could however, benefit from the cooler IATs I could get from running water/meth. With my IATs up about 30 degrees more than they were when I first started with the car due to rising ambient temperature, you can definitely notice a difference in the way the car feels. My friend who runs water/meth in his car has been super pleased with it, but it switching to E85 as he is making the power for it to be a more viable option. Looking at his logs though, it is interesting to see what he passes 15psi (where it is set in MS) the IATs drop below ambient. This would also cost ~1/2 the price of setting my car up for E85. Curious to get input from people here.

Also pictures from the track day, courtesy of Katie McCarthy:

I don't recall locking that wheel up, so it must have not lasted long. The r-comp tire wasn't flat spotted or anything, which surprised me a little bit after seeing the picture.

Anywho, enjoy the body roll! I'm accepting Xida donations :P

The undertray just is not going to fit. First, there are no front mounting points since the airdam up there also doesn't fit. Second, 2 of the side plastic tabs wouldn't be useable no matter how much material you cut out to try and make them fit.

Guess I'm going to have to try and make something. Bleh.

That would be greatly appreciated, thanks. The current plan would be to try and mimic what GeneSplicer had going on. I'm certainly open to as many ideas as possible though.

I have a sheet of ABS bolted to the bumper and the intercooler. Then the undertray attaches to that. It might be in my build thread somewhere. (starts searching through 87 pages)

I still cannot comprehend this. A turbo heats up the air so much when in boost, that dipping BELOW ambient WHILE passing 15psi is something I've never, ever, seen legitimately.

I could get a log, it just won't prove much since we won't know what ambient is at the time.

I'm going to go get a VVT motor tomorrow morning if it's still in the junk yard. $400 band aid for the time being. The VIN doesn't match so it isn't the stock motor from the car, no clue how many miles are on it. The body had almost 200k.

Then i'll break down the 99 motor and see what failed. Good thing I just got a free engine stand! Assess the damage, go from there. I know nothing about machine work pricing, so some estimates anyone can give me would be nice once I can post what the damage is like. If I am right in assuming a bearing spun, the crank would have to get turned. Hopefully the cylinder walls are good.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. The NAPA machine shop right off of I-26 and 302 (airport road store) does great work. I have been using them for all my machine work over te last 10 years. I will have to go back and look at what they charged me for cleaning and checking everything, 3 angle valve job, bore, skim the head, but I did all assembly work myself. I want to say it was $300-400 back in 2010
