Vado HD. Good for in car stuff and birthday parties, but for anything far away, the zoom feature sucks.

Nice cheap cam. Mounted on roll bar, or? Any pics of mounting?

I haven't met them yet, but the track was pretty cool about it though. My only 11.4 pass was my last run on Saturday and then again yesterday. I probably won't hit the track any more this year.

This winter I'm going to have a full cage built that will meet the NHRA requirements, but hopefully will also allow me to do lapping days. Seats, harnesses, driveshaft safety loop and a scatter shield and I'm good for down to 10 flat. I'll easily have the power to get there, just a matter of whether I can get the drivetrain to handle it.

You should start a for sale feeler thread for your roll bar and such, a while ago I calculated that'd I'd get about half my money back after buying a miatacage.com kit and selling my other stuff. Too bad I can't afford that $500, or the installation.

I want to, but I keep going back and forth with this car. Part of me says that I should stop now and start a new build. The other part of me says to take it as far as possible. There's one huge downside to trying to take the car any further, I view it as a street car and want to keep it that way.

Just got mine today
Are you using the HD or HD+ mode? I can see the difference in sharpness if I look hard/freeze frame, but don't think it will actually matter IRL on a track.

The 2hr vs 1hr video time and 4hr vs 2hr storage capacity DOES matter for me, only you live your life a 1/4 mile at a time

I was going to comment on the steering wheel, but at
450hp i'd hardly call him a wine and cheeser.

I have no idea that it had different modes, how do I check? Right now I can get 2 hours out of it. Unfortunately I always forget to turn if off and then I go back to it a few hours later the battery is dead.

I really want that steering wheel gone, but I have a hard time buying non performance stuff. The the pretty pieces are from the previous owner, that is unless they are functional.

It's funny when I go to Miata meets how people react to the car. The older more responsible crowd tends to gravitate to it because of all the shiny **** and my age. Then after about 2 minutes of telling them I have no idea where the shiny radio surround came from and that it's not a MSM I search out the clubroadster crowd because they completely ignore the car. Fun times.

Well, press playback and delete at the same time and behold the settings menu opens. Default is HD+ so if you never changed that - it's HD+.

HD gives you 4hrs (still 4GB per file = 2hrs per movie)
HD+ gives you 2hrs (still 4GB per file = 1hr per movie)
It is also able to record in VGA but I never looked at that...
