After a short drive all I can say is that I love this transmission and the 3.6 gears. This thing now shifts better than my old 5 speed ever did. The 14" resonator in the mid pipe makes the car just as quiet as my old Enthuza setup with a cat. Between that and the gears I could take this car on a long trip and it would be enjoyable. The line lock ended up being a much more involved job than anyone thought it would be. Works great and will help out quite a bit at the strip and for photo ops. The other big thing was having decent intercooler piping made. Once again, it came out better than I could have hoped. I try to do most projects myself, but when it comes to fabricating and big items like setting up the rear end, I leave it to Pina Motorsports to make things happen. Andre is the only guy who takes better care of the car than I do. The work he did came out much nicer than I anticipated. Here's a few pictures.

That's proper, looks great man! Love the exhaust and the welded IC pipes.

The first picture is a Hurst line lock. The resonator is a 14" Magnaflow and it took enough off for my taste. It's still loud as hell when I get on it, but around town it's decent.

Went back to the track this evening for a test and tune. Only made a couple of passes this time out. First run was a 12.5 at 106 because I couldn't find 5th gear. Second one was also a 12.5 at 113. Had issues getting into 5th gear on that last pass also, but overall is was much better. The line lock worked great and allowed me to turn the RS2s into a cloud of smoke prior to the runs. As soon as I learn to stop trying to manhandle the transmission my runs should start being consistent. The car is coming together nicely and there's a lot left in her.

Went back to the track tonight to make a few more passes. Had a great time and made a total of 16 passes in four hours. Had a best pass of 12.2 at 120 tonight. The car is setup the same way as it was last week, I was just able to shift it tonight. Found out that the plastic bushing in my shifter was gouged and that was part of the reason I was having trouble shifting fast. Replaced that and it was like butter. Had a few 1.9 60fts, but most of them were consistently a 2.0. I think that I'm at the limits of my ability for launching. I need to setup launch control if I want to get off the line faster. Anyways, here's the slip...

Gained 7mph just by shifting quicker? DAAAMN lol.....Btw that is one solid *** trap speed 120? Hot damn, you would have no problem with vipers man...That is BADASS in my book. Launch control and some slicks and this thing has mid to low 11's in it with no problem imo. Out of curiosity, why didnt you set up launch control yet? I'm sure its easy with a hydra.

UPS delivered the new rims yesterday so I got the new tires mounted this morning. Traction is definitely improved and I'm finally happy with how the car looks. Here's a few pictures from this morning.
