Once we settled on that design it just flew together. Very easy manifold to build.

You're not going to merge it back into the downpipe? Well if thats the case then the possibilities are going to be much better.

I've got some ideas now that should work out fine. I cant wait to get this thing all welded up and in the mail to you! I'm glad to be done grinding and cutting for a couple days.

Then I start phill's manifold and buffon's and...
...I need to stock up on grinding and cutoff wheels!

Seems like it wasn't too bad. You going to do Phils and Buffons this way too?
I might eventually merge it in but for the time being I'm gonna let it scream. I can't wait to see it in person!

No not Phill's. He is going with the absurdflow design as much as I hate to rip off Tim's design but a customer is a customer and i'll make whatever they want. Buffon I think is going with your design after seeing it.

I took a break for some lunch and TV watching and breathing something other than weld smoke. Here is some progress so far today. I hope to have it completely welded today.

I took it all back apart to weld the runners separately. The goal here is to minimize warping of the flanges.

Some up close shots of some of the welds. Sorry again they aren't beautiful welds like Artech. I want a tig very badly but being unemployed makes it difficult to justify buying one lol.

I'm trying to get better at torch/hand control on long beads around a pipe although i'm getting better at stopping/starting a bead. Just takes practice and i'm not a very experienced welder. For the other welders in the room these welds were pushed and mostly downhill.

Don't fret about the welds much man. They look good. I've seen and done far worse than those.

Little update: Just ordered my M-Tuned rods, Supertech highflo valves and springs from 949racing. Maybe I'll be done porting the head today and I'll post pics

I'll contribute too. I finished all the welding today minus the EWG. I dont think the EWG will take long but I say that about everything and it always does but oh well. Come hell or high water this will be finished by sunday night so it can ship monday. I've never been so busy while also being jobless. Between manifold builds, a megasquirt build and a racecar build i'm getting everything foncused.

Yes its very different. How soon do you think you'll have your car running to test it?

From my origonal plan it would be running by now but the I started the head porting then I decided to get forged rods and spring and valves which I ordered yesterday. Now I'm thinking about ordering some supertech pistons to be safe as well which sucks cause I already got those pistons from you

I missed pics of the collector build/fab, or did you buy that?

Most of the pics from the manifold build were exchanged via PM

Here is a couple I found real quick of the collector:

As for the EWG...****. Placement is going to be a ******* bitch and i'm still playing with a few configurations but that cxracing EWG sure seems bulkier than I imagined EWGs would be. It cant go between the manifold and the block underneath, there is no room. It cant go between the manifold and the frame rail, there is no room there either. There is plenty of room to hang it off the #1 runner but that isnt ideal.

Here are some pics of it mounted in the car with my junky T3 attached to it so you can see just how low it sits. Clears the steering shaft just fine.

So here are some pics of the potential EWG placements. First off is how it would look hanging off the #1 runner.

Here is another possibility hanging off the front of the collector. You would have to route your dump tube under the runners for 2 and 3 in either of these situations.

Here is why it cant come off the front of the collector. Just way too close to brake stuff.

I'm going to keep playing with it and thinking about it this weekend. Input is gladly appreciated. This is the last obstacle before completion.

I think if you mounted it there I can switch around the dump tube exit and have it come straight down

Do you not run your splash pan? Also keep in mind that position is directly above the compressor housing.

I'm not saying it will point straight to the ground but I should be able to route it from there. that is unless you can come up with something else. It might be easier if I knew exactly what I was looking at too

Ya I know I need someone to take pictures for me while I hold stuff otherwise there are just useless images of my fingers and some silver stuff. I think you might be correct though in what you're imagining. I'll re-examine that possibility.
