Default Justin's Mazdaspeed Miata

Welp have had my car for a Lil over 3 years now. I have done bits to it here and there. But time to actually do something worth talking about.

Cars current mod list:
Flyin miata intake
ebay cat less downpipe
Corksport 3" cat back
Ground control coil overs on stock bilsteins 500/350
Super cheap stancerific xxrs

That's pretty much the jist of it.

I have had reverent ms2e pnp ecu and a set of fic 650cc injectors.

So about that shiny paint...

I got the megasquirt installed. About to order 15x9 aero 500 wheels from flyin miata and the rear dynalite brake upgrade to match my fronts. also gonna be ordering a roll bar finally.

Also gonna be ordering boost controller stuffs for the squirt. That will tidy up my purchases for the car for the year besides doing a light build on the spare engine!

Well finally some action in the build thread. yes it is Plastidip. The car has been repainted, wrecked front and rear and the paint was already peeling along edges and worn through the clear coat in many spots.

So again reiterating plastidip will peel off. It was shot and prepared as well as you can spray plastidip. Nice of you guys to join the thread!

As stated ordering the wheels and the rear big brake kit as soon as I can mentally cope with letting the money go.

My ms2e is stuck in ten mode and working with reverent to work it out. fixed 10 degrees of timing is retarded slow :(

Reverent fixed the 10° fixed timing! The car pulls better of course but I can't tell if the timing map is that much more conservative than stock or the car pulls just as hard and is smoother so feels slower. Either way I am tuning in the fueling for now. May up timing a slight amount but no where near danger zone area and that will become my safe tune for 91 octane. Then make the switch to e85 and start tuning for ALL OF IT on stock turbo.

15x9 aero 500's in black on their way and nitto nt01s in 225/45 r15 on the way! Install the rear big brakes and flush the lines and bleed with new fluid and we shall be set!!! Then it's easier stuff to finish up for the year!

be careful with the timing, both DIY's and Rev's base maps are not that conservative for crappy 91oct since they have 93+

Ahh ok. I will see what I can do to post timing map. I heard what I thought was detonation on stock computer at times... high rpm marbles shaking in a tin can sound. none of that for now on this setup. But still running 10.5ish:1 on the top end. Tha ks for the heads up!

Welp got the miata back on the road. The aero 500 15x9s are installed with 225/45 r15 Nitto NT01 tires. I have the rear wilwood kit installed. I think i have some more bleeding to do or the wilwood pads that are included with really are as bad as people say. I also goofed and didn't research enough but I need to get brackets and 11.75" discs. 11" brakes at all 4 corners are no good for on the limit braking. Pictures after work.

How's that look for 91 octane? Stock msm turbo on 12lbs of boost. Intake and turbo back exhaust.

Yes fronts already have 11" dynapro setup. I need different pads s ok me thing fierce. The pads flyin miata provides are ok but for sticky tires they are not enough, or I have more bleeding to do.

The standard Wilwood pad is sometimes the BP-10, a pad wholly unsuited for track use.

Well not tracking it yet but running nt01s for my street tire of choice. The car sees maybe 100 miles a week. So gonna see how they do. RS3 were proving difficult for discount tire to get but the set me up with the same price as the RS3.

the car hasn't ever stopped as well as it does now but it will not engage the abs on dry pavement with the nt01s. The pedal is slightly lower than it was with stock brakes but still gets rock hard. I have 4 piston dynapros up front with flyin miatas spec 37 11" rotors and 4 piston dynalite in the rear on generic sport rear rotors.

Does anyone carry brackets for dynapro 4s and the 11.75" rotor?

Edit found d that v8 roadsters does. How is their rotor? Of 11.75" rotors we have v8 roadsters and 949racing or Tse I can't remember. How is clearance to the tie rod on v8 roadsters? Is it closer than the 949 11.75"
