You do know that the NB head is a raised runner head and that the NA will not fit unless you lop off the flange and weld on an NB flange right?

Edit: Ok, I went back a few posts, and see that you have made that discovery already.

Talk with Bob Bundy, I'm fairly certain that's what he did.

I would think that to get the intake to really work properly, you would need camshafts that have more lift and duration. You should not have one part that likes the upper end, and the other parts working on the lower end.

I would suspect that it hits pretty hard at 5000 rpm and runs out of breath quickly. You will get a longer pull if you had a cam that is working for you and not against you.

That's common though. At least he has a bit to show for it, unlike smokers who have nothing but lung cancer to show for all their hard work and dedication

Update. Everything is running great still. Im looking at one of my data logs I just took now and my max boost is 16 psi so I know my boost gauge is off by one psi. Its nice though as im finally out of the nightmare that ive been in since the whole built engine thing started and failed....and failed..and failed.

The next step is to hit the dyno, tune a bit more and then finally, FINALLY move on to making the car look good. The widebody kit should be back from the molder by then end of this month so I should have mine by october and then ill get moving on getting it on and painted.

Well in true fashion, just as everything was going great for the first time in a long time...

As I was on my way last night to pick up a fuel rail at a friends shop, I went into boost and at 7300 rpm in full boost, I heard a MASSIVE BOOM under the car followed by all sorts of noises a car should never make followed by ever fluid that a car could produce. I was expended of every solid and fluid that my body could produce as well. Got the car towed and pulled the motor to find this. The piston seems like it shattered into a million pieces because there was barely a trace of it left when we cracked open the block.

Needless to say, it over for me.

Holy ******* fucklord!

Post a good pic of the valve chamber please? It looks horrendous from what I can see in that pic. What happened to the rod?

Want to buy my old engine? It would be good if you want to build up a motor some. The head is good but it might need a new vvt actuator and the bottom end was good but I did boost it for 30k miles.
