God I hope it doens't come oput looking like a pansy! From what I've seen of his work, it should come out looking pretty badass. Should be finished up tonight... on another note, maybe next time you see another Jap Zero theme it'll be me leaving with a scca national title! Ok, maybe not - but I can have fun trying!

The GTC200 wing and hubs come in tomorrow, and I'm making my splitter template as I type.

I was just casting my vote. I'm biased as I've done several race car paint designs. You could put a pansy on your car and it would still look badass IMO.

Well, Mike can paint! If you ever need an awesome airbrush artist from large to small, hit me up for his info! I dread the day it goes off road into the armco... but I'm not holding back. Drum roll please......

Taken (on my BBerry) at Road Atlanta this past Monday running with Chin... had some rain so I had the RA1s on... the 6ULs are gorgeous on it!!! I have some high res on-track photos coming from sidelinesportsphotography.com/ I'll post those when I get 'em!

I mounted the GTC200 on site and didn't have any way to set the angle, so I made sure it was negative so I didn't get airborne on the back stretch. Was only able to hit 128mph in 5th on the back straight and I could totally feel the *** hunker down, slowing the car down. But hitting turns 1, 12 and the esses was awesome fun. I took some video, but couldn't view MP4 format files on site to realize the HD gopro was too high... had great views of the wink mirror and the GT3's passing me at 180mph! Had some fun playing with an LS1 miata (he had it decked out... GTC300, wilwood BBK, AutoKenexion hatchback.. needs to learn to drive it as he has NO excuse for letting me pass!) Was a great day, even in the rain during the morning hours.

I still need to hang the splitter and install the brake vents... and change out the front XP12s after RA... the dumbo mirrors are being replaced too when I get around to ordering the carbon ones from Emilio.

So where were you at M2?

******* sick! That guy is a mad man with paint. Those ripples in the flag look very good, as do the bullet holes. I wasn't sure what to think seeing it on paper, but I really dig it on the car. Very nice. At least you have best paint on the track covered, lol. Also, any minor damage you do receive will add to authenticity of the paint scheme, battle damage.

It really looks good. I can't believe the whole car is painted and it's not a wrap. I can't wait to see the hi res photos. keep em coming. I'm certainly planning on Chin at Barber in October.

I was working. Though my turbo car is crushed, the dd is bone stock with a roll bar and the ITA car has no cage...

Paint job is phenomenal. I'm impressed. It's rare you see the finished piece exceed what you expect from the proposed design.

I think what you felt on the back straight was that wing robbing you of another 10 mph. That's a very safe angle.

I'm familiar with the LS Miata- local guy with a healthy Miata budget for sure. But yes, I've seen his in-car video and IMO this is a classic case of starting off with the wrong car. Even though it's a Miata, it should have stayed at ~130hp for the driver's sake. It will be hard for him to learn much in that car.

Thanks guys!
NA6C - he's local and his rates are good right now... sure he could whip a little something up for ya!

M2 - Yeah, he started off with too much car... but he's a cool guy - owes a flashlight busniess??. I just couldn't get over the hacking into the carbon hatch with pliers to mount his wing! It was horrible I would have loved to see what the 275s felt like... ya think he would have let me scrub a little rubber off them?

I haven't seen the wing mounting... don't want to know. I have a feeling that car is probably too prized to share, and it might be too painful to see it go fast. Nothing inspires me more than seeing somebody cut a faster than I can in the same car. But I'll give him credit for putting it out on the track. He's trying.

I guess you don't have to worry about theft with that new paint.

I love the car. It is bad ***. I personally thought that your idea for the paint is great. It turned out great.

Have a great day,
Jared
