Hustler I just want to say again I am so sorry.

Sunday morning April 27th I was driving the super commuter back to Dallas from Austin. I was north of Wacco on I-35N just west of Abbott Texas. I was cruising in the right lane with cruise control on at 70mph. It was slightly raining out, nothing worse then having the wipers on the lowest speed setting. I started going up an overpass over and the backend just went out and the car started spinning. Best that I can figure is that my speed started to fall slightly and cruise control decided to give it a bit more gas, that along with going up a hill and the rain for whatever reason caused the rear to spin. I hit the guard rail on the front passenger side and the spun around and came to a stop. Luckily I managed to not be injured in the spin and there were no vehicles around me. One truck was behind me and he pulled over to check that I was safe and not injured. Then the cops show up, call their tow truck and I get a $350 tow bill to go 5 miles off the interstate to be dropped in a Luvs truck stop parking lot. I then had to wait for AAA to get their driver out to me to get the car towed the rest of the way up to Dallas.

Had nearly the same thing happen to me in my POS 1974 Duster. Slowing down (icy conditions), and the car decided to downshift, sending the back end around. If it happens when you aren't expecting anything, you're sideways before you can react.

Glad you weren't hurt.

Damn Lars, that's nuts. Having the *** end come around on the highway is not something I want to experience.

Just glad everyone was okay. Its none of my bidness but I'm sure you and Trey will hash things out and make them "right".

The spin came out of the blue and was completely not expected. Once it started and I realized what was happening it was to late to do anything to possibly correct it. I simply went 1 foot on the clutch and 1 foot on the brake and let it go and hoped for the best.

I ended up missing a few days of work this week due to being sore, which I was expecting to come. Nothing is broken or seriously injured so I am very grateful for that.

Things things between Trey and I are good. The suspension, and drive train out of the car was undamaged and that was the big worry.

Man. That truly sucks. A naturally aspirated Miata becoming traction limited in top gear is just not something I think anybody is prepared for. In4 awesome rebuild project where Trey does one-handed engine pulls with his bionic replacement wrist.

In Lars' defense, the tires are all old and a little weathers and the car is extremely dangerous on wet asphalt. I ain't even mad. Jacob300zx is super happy too because now he has the shocks off this car.

I'm not all that upset, storing it was a bitch, getting inspection stickers was a bitch, the car was embarassingly ugly, it smelled ******* awful, and it looks like the drivetrain is going to a friend.

Again, I'm just super happy that Lars wasn't hurt, and also happy that no bicycles were damaged in the making of this film.
