There is no actual "bracket". Basically you put a bolt through that whole on the sensor into a hole somewhere on the oil pump.
I have the fuel rail worked out, but I need help on the CKP.

I'm about to make a $500 order from Mazdaspeed, lol.

I really need to submit my results from my last autox weekend so I can get into Mazdaspeed. Also Visa is your friend. You need to spend spend spend to stimulate this economy.

I have only paid cash since 2004, I don't plan to change that now.

There is a threaded hole on the oil pump, on the lower right. Don't look for a threaded hole on the 90-95 oil pumps if you have a spare, it doesn't exist.

Is there any reason why the CLT sensor from my 1994 won't fit in the 2001 bung?

Demitris,
Will this eliminate the CLT issue with the 1994-2001 compatibility?

I don't remember if it will fit, however it does have a different (triangular) connector with 3 pins, as it is also the sensor for the gauge cluster (the 94 has a separate sensor for that).

And yes, that will solve the compatibility issue.

Are you doing a coolant reroute? I am almost positive that the threads are the same between a 94 coolant sensor and a 01 coolant sensor. Just make sure you use the 94 coolant sensor so you don't have to change the pigtail.

No reroute since it has the baller 2001 head gasket. I suppose that if it doesn't fit I can use the rear water-neck/cap thing from the 1994 in it's place.

Looks like your cam seals have leaked all over the front of your engine, unless you know it came from somewheres else?

Thanks, bros.

I have not yet checked the mail but I will tonight. The car is back on the road with a temporary header-sheetmetal wrap/hose clamp fix. I should get the swap don't one week next month. I want to get MS2 in the car on the 1994 engine first, on the 1999 IAC, so I will have less things to deal with after swapping. I'm doing this swap alone in my 1-car garage so I'm going to be pretty fussy after putting the engine in the car. I'm going to probably take-off a Thursday and Friday so I have a four-day to do the work.

BTW, I'm talking to Dimitris in email now about how to handle the tach wiring. I think it's a good idea to wire-in the tach output so the harness he's making will be ultimately clean. What wires should I cut from the factory coils to the tach? Do those wires go from the factory computer or from the coils to the tach.

I need to learn to read a wire diagram, any tips other than googling "how to read a wire diagram"?
