Having driven the car I do like how it rock's. Last year it was bags of fun, now it's more of see ya, be good and bye bye, there is less time for laugh's and more oh ****'s when it launches off.
Wasn't it running more than 15psi when I drove it?

That new mic placement seems to be a winner
I had there world's shittiest brake pads. I hope to get my TSE BBK this week

Also I just order Twin Disc ceramic clutch from 949racing I kinda had to. Current FM1 clutch has begun to slip on 4th gear occasionally

And to my local police department who is spying my build thread GTFO! Go watch drunk drivers or something and leave me alone. My car has exactly the amount of power I want it to have so I have no problem to prove it only have 20% over the stock if I want to. Go **** yourselves

Of course Do a road trip. Finland is beautiful in summer. Maybe someday I show up your doorstep as I just find out that E85 stations have become more common in central Europe

All the Scandinavian country’s (or at least Finland) has this strange law that you can only add up max 20% power to your car. This of course does not apply in closed race track so that is why I don’t get that local police attention. I mean of course I have different boost settings in street. Every time someone drives over 20% power God kills a puppy

...and btw these are in my backseats I know, that’s wrong place for them

Does the police station have a dyno? or is it your responsibility to produce a dyno sheet upon police request? Are the 20% increase for hp or torque, or an average both? In the States, it is speed that kills, in Finland it is power?

It’s the car owner responsibility to deliver max 20% dyno paper to the "turbo modification inspection" or whatever it is in English. Here’s mine:

The rule goes that you are allow'd to increase power more than 20% over what the biggest engine of the model line produce and grow more than 25% engine size. Weirdly they aint intrested about torque. Also it cant go lighter than 7kg per 1hp. So no V8 swaps in Finland. Still, Norway is worst.

EBC to the rescue! 25lbs at 4000RPM and 6 at 7000. 350ft-lbs and 160hp. It'll really be like a diesel.

If it`s anything like Norway, it`s not death they are serious about, but the lack of taxes paid on the motors new performance...

Atleast the only sanction they can do here is tell you to put the car back to stock...

TSE 11.75" BBK

Hawk HP+ pads because I’m not ready for the big boy DTC-60 pads yet

Proportioning Valve

all ready

Brakes seems to bite well. Maybe too well if you see my video:
I accelerate to 75mph and then hit the brakes to almost full stop. Oil level was OK. Is this normal? I mean I can’t be only one ...or am I only one who has notice this?

Could that rapid oil drowning come from too low oil level? He is having oli level about halfway betwen marks? I'm filling oil up to upper mark and just a bit more for trackdays..

I always run one extra quart on the track, both for this reason and for increased cooling capacity (oil helps cool the engine). Actually, I always ran an extra quart on the street, too. It is insurance and protection.

Muoto, Thanks for reminding why I am here with the 20% power rule. On top of 50% requirement of original parts in the car.

Anyway the oil starvation under brakes is real. In Dragon Hillclimb there are no big brakezones for the oil to rush forwards, so I cannot say whether added plate blocking the openings in the front of the sump helped or not, but it didn't hurt.

Added quart should help, but there were not much room before oil hits the crank. There should be some oil in head and circulation when the motor is running so that helps. I measured that full height of oil was almost touching the MBSP pan when motor was horizontal in 2001 motor. Cornering and braking might make this worse.

Here are couple of poor quality cellphone photos from the pan.
First the pan with full oil quantity and then mild steel plate welded on existing horizontal plate.

Even though clutch was slipping like hell I manage to drive third. TSE 11.75” brakes were awesome! In the longest straight I manage to get 200kmh on the speedo. With my old brakes I would probably have died.

Now I just need that new twin disc clutch and more boost. Then I can go after Evo 8 and SC Elise which are ahead of me in points. Adding horsepower is best way to compensate my lack of track experience.
