New purchase....

GReddy Manifold (with relief cuts)
GReddy Intake pipe
GReddy Downpipe
T70 Hyrbid Turbo (brand new never been fitted)
Intercooler
Intercooler Hard Pipes (originally imported from the US)
Blitz BOV w/ silicone pipe
Heat Shields
Jackson Racing Fuel Pressure Regulator

++ PLEASE READ ++

The T70 Turbo is from a company called XS Power (previous owner imported it from the US). Some say its a cheap chinese Turbo, but research has shown there was problems upto 2008,but NOTHING since then. The instructions included are in english,no sign of any Chinese. I keep getting told different things,so i'm gonna go on my OWN accord, and use this turbo. If it goes bang,it goes bang!

From talking to the seller (local MX5OC member, who knows what hes on about!) said he used the standard GReddy kit on his Mk1 on stock management and it drove absolutely fine!

I know if i want to turn the boost up,i'll need bigger injectors etc etc and i'll need a stand alone ECU (Megasquirt),but this will be my first turbo'd car. I'll be starting off low PSi and build up from there.

He used the kit on his car for months,so just proves nothing is wrong with doing it that way

Greddy manifold is T2 footprint, correct? What flange is the chinese turbo?

Greddy downpipe is horrible, scrap it.

Turbo is a T3/T4 flange. The old turbo (half of it still attached to Manifold) is a TD04

I know it's a td04, but I'm very sure it's a T2 footprint manifold.. My point was that your turbo and manifold are flanged differently.

How are you planning on using that manifold with that chinese turbo.

By they way, the turbine flange is "T3" not T3/T4. T3/T4 is a style of turbo. T3 and T4 flanges different from one another.

I'm most concerned with the shear amount of piping that came with the kit. There must be 10 feet of intercooler pipes there.

Its what was in the box when i bought it,whether it all fits i'm not sure. But chances are there will be left over pipe work

Painted the headlight covers in Black Stone Chip to match the Superlites

Also stripped the blown turbo off the manifold and trial fitted the new turbo to make sure it fits ok

Also fitted a Garrett T25 to the manifold to make sure that would fit aswell (with the studs removed,it would fit proply). I know if i used a T25 i'd need a new downpipe made

Heres the condition of the Garrett

The crack runs right down the housing (couldnt get a clear enough photo)

Also should be picking this up from Law on MX5 Nutz

Should save the money and hassle of getting a new downpipe made to match the rest of the exhaust system

Just oil lines, air filter, retard the timing and it'll be ready to fit!

How does your supposed T3 flanged chinese "T70" fit fine on the T2 greddy manifold?

And how does the downpipe designed for a td04 fit the T70????

And why are you using a downpipe that's only 2" in diameter????

Now purchased a Garrett T25 and a flange to weld onto the Downpipe.

With the timing retarded 6deg BTDC,wideband and boost gauge. Can i run this set up at 4-5psi on stock management?

when I bought my car it was running a big 16g at 9 psi on stock injectors. it ran pretty hard but wasn't going to last long.

Want to start at 4-5psi to get used to boost,i only use the car at weekends so it wont be used a great deal.

So it is possible use it this way, just the life of the engine could be decreased the harder i drive it (depending on the psi) ?
