Don't know why you pulled the fender so badly. I fit 9s under rolled fenders at 12" ride heights.

Two reasons. First, my 225/50 track tires (V710s) are taller and have a larger section width, so they needed a little clearancing than the 225 street tires. Second, I'm planning for the future - hoping eventually someone puts out wider 15" tires - in both street and R compounds. A 245 or 255 would be perfect - the 275 Hoosiers are a bit too wide.

Thanks for the compliments on the car guys. This one has been a lot of fun to build. Next up is a DIY paint job in my garage. I'm building the paint booth right now.

A few quick updates...

Extraction hood. I picked this up locally from a dude that got it on a tub he was building for Spec Miata. It was painted Merlot Mica, but it was rattle-canned flat black by yours truly.

Put stage 8 locking hardware on the turbo. These suckers aren't coming loose at the track!

I also replaced my front brakes. The setup before I had was working well, so I stuck with it - Brembo OEM replacements up front with Hawk HP+ pads. The rotors are less than $30 each, so I don't mind burning through them! The last pair lasted a surprisingly long period of time.

I've got a long "to do" list for this winter:
- New suspension - still TBD on which coilover setup
- Poly bushings
- A real paint job (DIY in my garage...no experience...should be interesting)
- Frame rails (awaiting install)
- BEGi Coolant reroute (awaiting install)
- New lower downpipe - mine cracked on the way to Nashville Superspeedway a few months ago...had it welded at a shop near the track and only missed one run group. Not sure if I trust those welds though...better for peace of mind to just replace it.

I don't think they offered the black/polished for the latest gen of 6ULs - looks like they are all black now.

Unfortunately not - I'm waiting on my stainless braided water lines to arrive for my turbo. One of the silicone ones on there now has sprung a leak - can't take the heat!

How does your modified oem hood not have the hump in the middle? I thought all the oem ones had it.

It does - the flat black really camouflages it in the pictures though. If you look closely, just forward of the vented openings, you can see the front part of the "hump" in the hood.

Here are a few pictures for you guys - one track session, and one autocross run.

This video is from a track day at Nashville Super Speedway in September. The run starts with me passing a Z06, then I follow my brother's beautiful silver 993 for a while, and finish it all off by passing a 996TT.

This one is from an Autocross back in August. Both videos were taken with a GoPro Wide 5MP.
