It's a slippery slope. It's like when someone needs to fill the gas tank and accidentally ends up with a Kswap

It looks a bit more impressive when you add the exhaust/etc plumbing.

Exhaust is leaning up against the back wall on the other side of the garage, but I'll add the intercooler to the pile tonight.

Then I can start taking bids

Can I have back the parts I sold you years ago? I don't want anyone else making money on them.

Trust me when I say I've never made a profit on anything I've bought and resold.

Not if it keeps ******* raining. The 52°F rain combined with working outdoors in the driveway SUUUUUUUUCKS.

Looking for something specific? Shoot me a text, I know you've got my number

Yeap, everyone talks about injectors but I've never seen anyone talk about filtration. From the linked article:

So if you are using the WIX 20µ filter you are 'probably fine' but I hate being 'probably' anything. The guys at Injector Dynamics obviously know WTF they are talking about when it comes to injectors so I'm happy to take their recommendations for filtration as well. The Fuelab 818 filter I linked is $130 and 6µ replacement elements are $32. I'm happy to spend the $45 annually to replace the WIX and the 6µ element and never worry about my injectors. I worry too much already. You've seen my hairline, you know these things.

I just have a Mazda filter before my ID1000s.

Lots of ways for junk to get into the system before it hits my fuel tank.

Apples to oranges but I know our Cummins diesel systems on the equipment at work run a 7-25µ primary and a 2-5µ secondary filter so there is obviously legitimate concerns from the manufacturers about fuel quality and/or contamination. I'm sure filtration is more of an issue when you are running 2000psi at the injector, but you get the idea.

I'm glad to see I can spread my paranoia

Jeff knows what I'm talking about. Gordon is actually doing it right now. I mean, in the perfectest world, are ID1300's awesome? yes. Is that super fancy filter awesome? yes. Is a EFR awesome? yes. What about an ARtech mani? Yep. What about a FAB9 sidewinder? Yup.

And then tomorrow a sick newer cooler thing comes out, and all of a sudden we should probably just use that.

I dunno. It's a disease. It's a sickening slipery slope. Sometimes the lines are blurred. But SOMEWHERE you need to learn to draw the line on where you stop.

I just want to see this awesome assortment of parts together and running. Same for me wanting to see El Heffe's glorious beast on the road and being enjoyed.

I'm running the most mediocre turbo setup known to man right now: stock MSM. I'm running ID725's and DW200 on an otherwise stock mazda system (though I did replace the oem fuel filter with another new one). On paper it's so mediocre. And yet, I love it so so so so very much that I don't even give a crap about cooler parts. I'm just happy.

Stop overthinking and be happy?
