Rebuild all the salvage Miatas! ASS!

I feel like my MS3-Basic does not have these magical pots. I'll have to check next time I have it open. I don't remember having to adjust anything, or instructions to do so.
I brought my Fluke and a 12v wall wart out to MRLS so we could play with Eds MS, but I think we got distracted.

Another successful track weekend!
After staying up til 2 AM changing the oil and swapping pads, I drove out to Oregon Raceway Park for a track day with Hooked On Driving. It was a freaking PERFECT beautiful day, warming up real nice in the afternoon.
Couple of notes on the car so far after 3 track days:
1. I'm not getting enough oil pressure. just under 40 PSI at 6500 RPM with Rotella 5W-40. I changed to Lucas 20w-50 for this track day and.... same thing. Savington seems to think it may be the RX7 oil cooler causing the pressure drop. so I think during the winter I'll swap to a Setrab. I'm sending a sample from this last Rotella dump to Blackstone to see how it's looking. Hoping to see nothing bad despite lower than desired oil pressure.
2. I love this suspension.
3. I love these brakes.
4. I love this car. Going to sort out some bracing for the winter though. All I have is a rear subframe brace.
5. I think I've joined the flatspotted tires crew. I am loving these Federals, but will probably go to RS3's next year for that 225 awesomeness.
Here's what the car looked like before the track day:
Here's what it looked like after the track day:
Here's the Porsche I chased down... 300 RWHP awesomesauce. That'll be shown in a video I upload later.
Here's another white thing I chased down. I hope I have gopro video of it. Stupid thing is still not recording the whole time. He's fast in the straights but I could reel him in consistently throughout the day.
And here's video of my last session. Two offs in this session! oops. I was tired and driving a bit over my head. But it was a LOT of fun. First off is around 4 minutes into the video, second is around the 13-minute mark.

Not sure I want RS3s again, I keep reading the same criticisms for the v2 that I read for the v1.
I'm considering the Rival S for the next time around, at least as far as 200TW tires are concerned.

Mostly that they are continually out of stock and braking still sucks. According to people who know things about tires, the Rival S is just supposed to do everything better for about the same money with better availability. Check the last couple pages of the Tire Hierarchy thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/race-prep...hy-chat-76811/
Toyo Proxes R1R is the only other thing I'm seeing in the 200TW range in a 225/45-15 size that we care about. After that, things get a bit dicey.

Rs3s are only available in the spring. That's just a given.

Ehhh. The RS3 v2 thread seems to have more Rival data in it than RS3 v2 data https://www.miataturbo.net/wheels-ti...eedback-79923/
It looks like you could go either way? My RS3s are from I think 2011 and my NT-01s are square so I don't have a lot of other options right now.
I have a lot to learn and I think I'll be better off not running a 100 UTQG tire right now.

Ran the RS3 v2 this weekend at road atlanta, I also ran them and the rivals with a AIM Solo DL to record G. the setups where exactly the same for both tires(specs below). both where tested as "stickers". the Rivals held a static .9G with a peak of 1.G. The Rs3 held a static G of 1G. with peaks of 1.2G. The RS3 likes to talk at the limit allot more then the BFG rivals do. the breakaway was far more noticeable on the RS3, as the rivals it was hard to notice where the breakaway point was.
On a neat side note. for the rest of the weekend I switched over to a old pair of rs3 v1 (3 years old mind you) and they were holding a static .9g. They have 50+ heat cycles and are still holding strong. very impressed with the longevity.
all tires where on a 2700lbs LS1 NB1 Miata (with driver),
3.5* camber F, 3*camber R, 0* Toe, 8*caster
225/45r15 tire
6ul 15x9 wheels.
32psi hot.

Spoke too soon. More research. Thing i like about the RS3 is everyone says they wear like iron. I want that.

Also will be buying new in spring to keep on the shelf til the Federals are toast. Though when side to side rotation of the Federals is needed, I may just put them on the FFDs and see how that feels.
Thanks for the offer though Martin.
