Anyone have timing covers for a VVT head? I guess I need the upper one?

Yep, Advantage Metalworks in Albany. Not 100% sure on the 65 but definitely less than 100. Hes the kind of guy who charges less every time you go to him. Price is dependent on the powder, but give him a call.

Super nice guy, he did my wheels and valve cover.

Depending on your timeline I could pick it up from you the next time I'm in portland and take it down. I'd call him and ask what he would charge me but I'm in Canada until monday.

Whoa, many replies.

Thanks for the offer of driving your car Aidan, I might just do that. I should be able to make it since it's a Sunday but hell you never know with this job. This month is off to another stupid slow start so I might have to nearly kill myself at the end again just to make it work.

Vlad, LMK if you've got the cover. Or let Josh know.

Josh, you really mean for me to come get it right? I can come get it Sunday or Monday. You off this weekend?

Damn forgot to look for the missing nuts last night. I'll do it tonight...

Ed, you need a stock non msm oil pan, drill and tap for a proper return line location. That ghetto fab **** you have now with jb weld and looped return is awful

You're right.

Who wants to sell me an oil pan? Will any BP oil pan work?

I thought you could just shorten your line? When we looked at it didn't we see just way too much line?

Yeah just looked at pictures, halve that line and problem solved.

Yeah... that won't work. josh and I did a lot of brainstorming yesterday. Or at least take this pan and have all the various holes welded shut and retap it elsewhere. Just my .02.

Do the angles not line up? I ended up having like the shortest oil drain ever and had to use pushloc fittings. But it ended up working perfectly.

That's the one! PM me what you want for shipping it and I'll paypal you IMMEDIATELY if not sooner.

Aidan, gonna take a look at that.

either way though, I really do think I'm going to get a new pan if it doesn't cost too much.

DAMN they're not cheap. found one for $130 though. That might work but was hoping to find one cheaper than that...

Don't forget the machine shop cleaning it, and welding a bung on.

Yeah there's that too. I just don't feel right putting it back on. I'm spending all this money everywhere else so I don't have to do extra work, but I'm going to put in a cracked and JB welded oil pan with a compromised oil drain line?

Nope.

Anyone wish to say anything else before i buy this?
