it was definitely wrong gap on the spark plugs, car is running pretty decent need to get the iat in the airstream. but i put about 60 miles of break in on the clutch and some rough tuning. i think im going to be rather happy with that ebay turbo.

But its a hard cut and doesn't seem to be affected by boost.
Disable launch control from the software.

Got a guy named Tedd (i always get the tedd-tadd thing fucked up(i need to add last names to my phone)) is coming to hopefully buy this hard top i have on Matts car Saturday. Matt will be down doing some wiring on his car, another Miata owner will be down to drop off and pick up and pick up parts. My driveway is going to be packed full of Miatas.
Anyway, i'll be working no later than 2pm and you're free to stop by anytime i'll be home with all this going on. I'm assuming you're not going to drive the car down?

I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

Drove from the Detroit burbs to Columbus this morning, was holding intake temps in between 95-100F and coolant temps 190-215F. So I need to do some serious ducting and maybe a thicker radiator. I'm going to start with ducting because the temp would be in the 190s around 55-68mph, above 70 it would climb to 200-210F.

I'm not 100% sure all of it is there but most of it is. It was hot and very humid so I'm sure that didn't help any.

ok its there then, my other car never had it so i really have nothing to compare to just from looking at it you can tell it needs ducted though.
Pics from earlier, its weird getting rolling shots of both of your cars at the same time.

I have a squeaky belt on startup for a while. New belt, water pump and the pulleys where all clean. We discovered the alternators bearings are shot, on startup it squeaks, after about 1min of idle you cannot touch the alternator pulley. Time for a new one.

Oh no... I have a squeak only on start up too. I just set tension on the belt and cleaned the pulleys and it's still there. Guess I know what to check next.

It made it 4hrs in 90-100f with 65+% humidity without much problem. I imagine shot bearings in the alternator made the engine run less efficient as well.

in case you were wondering, the alternator 100% fixed the problem.

on another note the throwout bearing makes that annoying high pitch squeal sound again . i dont know if adjusting the clutch would help, any input?

quick ebc question, are the target tables in kpa or psi? theres no real indication on tunerstudio, but the MS manual shows kpa so im assuming it is kpa.

Havnt updated In a while, got it tuned in fairly well up to 10psi. Im really happy with the performance. Next steps are larger radiator and an oil cooler. I'm running coolant temps in the 200F range with spikes up to 220F. Oil temps stay fairly consistent in the 200-260F range seems a bit high to me.
Can't do a whole lot of work on it because this weekend while I was at the Woodward dream cruise my dads neighbor backed into the DD so the miata has become the DD till its fixed.
