Why is there an extra Z in your sticker? It is like spiky hair with frosted blonde tips.

Other than that, keep it up.

On e85 this should be pretty interesting.

On 91 **** I bet it will be boring on the street. But awesome on the track.

I'm not a fan of the cr inspired "look" but at least you're actually modding this thing for speed too.

Welcome

Well... cars getting some R&D done for about a month.
So for the time being I'll be updating this with engine build goodies.

Before taking it to the road to get to the "lab" I installed some aerocatch hood pins. Didn't trust the pos hook laid in the fiberglass hood

I'll be boring and honing the block on Tuesday then its on to putting the bottom end back together!

Stage21 hood.

See my comments on it here: mx5cartalk.com • View topic - NB Stage21 Hood

I still need to get off my **** and make the hood bracket mod to fit it.

I believe that the vent IS functional but I do want to cut-out the 2 rear molded "gills" to evacuate hot air.

See below, Stage 21 Extractor Hood from Japan. Main vent is functional although could use some opening up. side gills are blocked off but I'm working up the courage to open those up as well.

Good luck fitting the hood, its kind of a nightmare.

1) The fiberglass hood is about the same weight actually, not sure of exact weight but they feel about the same.

2) I'm building a car for a rotrex... just right there should say I'm a little different

3) I got in an accident and messed up my stock hood, this one was for sale for a hell of a deal and insurance paid for it.

4) MadJDMyo....

any other questions?

Got down to boring the block today.
Wasn't so easy, the Rottler boring bar I have access to didnt have a cutting tool small enough for the miata bore. The shop is geared towards V8s not little import motors. So the only option I had was to throw it on the Rottler Honing machine and take off .05" at a time. 4 passes on each cylinder and I'm very close to my final bore size.

Hopefully the bottom end will be put back together within 3 weeks.

you're not different, you're a ------ with a ricer hood. but it's ok, we love you that way

what kind of machine work are you getting besides bore/hone? are you doing it yourself? how did you suck dick your way up to play around in machine shop? shouldn't you be driving a camaro?

I'm so ******* confused by the hate haha
I'm not pulling the whole "I want to 2jz swap my miata to be diffrnt caues its cool" that we've all seen! I'm not trying to say I'm special by any means just kinda retarded its more fun that way though.

I am doing everything myself, machining and all. Block bored/honed etc. valve job, light port, polish.

I'm good at finding and making opportunities for myself that don't require homosexual activities

but in reality, I'm taking an engine building class as part of my school auto tech dept. and doing a lot of reading on the subject.

if you didn't post any pictures of the car itself (just engine ****) then it wouldn't be as harsh
