That is what just drained out of my oil pan. Water came out for the first 3 seconds and then water and oil mixed. I am fucked. Car is being loaded on a trailer friday and driven to SC. Then IDK when I will fix it. Probably not soon because I am very pissed at it.

I am assuming that I have a blown headgasket. Car has been ran for about 30 to 45 seconds total. What damage should I expect to have been done? Should I just pull the motor when I get to SC and take it all apart?

I've seen people drain water out of their oil pan and still save the engine, although I would expect your bearings to be kinda screwed. Perhaps not though. How does the coolant look? Milky?

Are you sure that mystery liquid is not fuel from seeping past your rings during your repeated cranking while trying to start the thing?

Well for the first 3 seconds of draining it was crystal clear like water, and since I was running straight water in my radiator I am assuming that it is water.

So I should at least be expecting to pull engine and check bearings.

If I were you I would put it in a plastic bucket and light it. Video tape it please too. Gasoline is lots of fun to burn outside of the engine. It gets ******* HOT though. duh

hmm in my experience, gasoline is much more flammable than oil. It will also burn in a very different way o coss.

I say just pour off some of that lovely clear liquid and burnnn it!

I would tell you to drive down and enjoy the bonfire and some beers, but it will be 2am by the time you get through traffic.

Also could gas in oil cause no oil pressure?

^^^Do this. The worst thing that will happen is your fucked motor will still be fucked. Best case scenario is it will start up, run, and steam any residual fuel out as it warms up. If it seems OK, change oil and filter and go nuts.

+2. You're fine, poor some mineral spirits through maybe, or 5 quarts of really cheap oil (just not four), and then fill up with some slightly less cheap oil. Get it to show oil pressure, and you should be fine. It's hardly ran like this, so your bearings are probably fine. They're meant to survive 1000-7000rpms for years, they'll be fine with a few hours at 200 with non-optimal oilage.

Not to **** in your cereal but i'd rather have a little water go through my bearings than gas. The gas is just going to clean the oil right off of everything. After trying over and over to crank my engine with gas in the oil it almost seized up solid, was very hard to turn over by hand and you could hear the rings on the cylinder walls screaming "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK".

I'm betting you its water. Drain your radiator and see if there is any oil in the water first.

I drained the radiator and I do not think there was any oil in it. So I am more prone to believing it is gas.

I would think if it was water it would be more frothy. Easy enough to find out. Get a cooling system pressure tester from the loan a tool program at Autozone and see if it holds pressure for a while.

Plus the oil smelled like gas.

Edit: Just read the above about the radiator. Scratch that then or put it in and check it . It's ultimately up to you.

Unfortunately I do not have time to do that any more. I have to be out of my house by Sunday. So the car is being towed down to SC on Saturday.
