Holy ******* ShitBalls my car is fast when you start out in second gear. I am also over boosting like a ************ in lower gears. I hit 180-190kpa in 5th and 6th, but over boost to 215kpa in 3rd. I get 180kpa around 3600rpms with VVT disabled.

Also, with VVT not working... is it possible the engine is huffing and moving more air than it is making power so it causes you to overboost?

My wastegate signal is 9/32 I believe. I currently just have it going to a bottom port and have the upper port unplugged according to the Tial directions.

Could be, I am not sure. I will hopefully be enabling VVT soon. I also want to get my EBC setup and see if that helps control over boost.

I also need to play with VSS some more. It did not seem to be working.

I am pretty sure Hustler had overshoot boost issues when running ghetto/single port wastegate stylie.

How long is your line from wg signal soruce to wg port?

Are you just on spring pressure now?

Line is probably less then a foot long. I am just on waste gate springs and I believe the ones I have in there should be about 10psi.

I am not overly concerned about the over boost right now, mostly because I am just enjoying the car and I know it can handle it fine.

Mine is the same way.

shiend.... try adding the nipple for the top port to another bottom port with the top unloaded... so 2 lines to the bottom and none to the top.

see if that helps....

i never had overshoot problems with my MS-V

I lied about topping out at 180kpaish in 5th gear. I definitely hit 210kpa if I hold it to redline. I get 180kpa by 3600rpm always, then at 5200rpm I am at about 200kpa.

I think I am going to try some different springs tomorrow and see what happens.

You can run a 8psi spring and use EBC with both ports to bring it up to where you want it.

12psi (180kpa) by 3600 with your larger-than-typical 56trim 2871 & .86a/r is pretty good.

Setting up the EBC and using both ports has always been the plan. It is just a little further down the road once I get done just enjoying the setup.

I am actually very happy with the spool how it is so far. I also know when I enable VVT that it should spool even quicker then.

Hmm I am actually seeing better spool than that.

If you are running really conservative timing though, that would explain why. I messed around with reducing timing to get better spool and I failed.

Also in my WG spring swappage experience, I hit 9, 15, 17, and 20psi all at about the same RPM. The spring doesn't snap open; it gradually opens up.

That **** was all kind of irrelevant but I came here just now looking for spool data...

You have VVT enabled right? And you have also tuned your built motor somewhat. I am still running the spark table that I made for ms1 on my old 2554 setup. So there is still a lot that I can probably do to to help with spool.

Indeedyo VVT is doing it's thing. I expect post tune your setup's spool will stomp mine.

I have been daily driving the car for the past 2 weeks. It has been going strong with no major issues. I have decided that I hate TurboTim though. I have not gotten better then 20mpg since installing the the new setup. I tend to boost to much.

With VVT and EBC hooked up I can hit 225kpa at about 3750rpms.

I also built myself a new heat shield. There is a good reason that I pay people to fabricate things for me instead of doing it myself. **** I make looks like ****.
