Nickt93's Build Thread - 1995 FMII
Here's a little background on my Miata - it's a recently turbo'd 95 that I picked up in April of 07. I found the car on eBay in Little Rock, Arkansas. The previous owner had gutted the car (no dash, carpet, door glass, AC, PS, interior trim panels), added a Hard Dog Hard Core rollbar, Ultrashield seats, G Force harnesses, a Torsen, KYBs/Ground Controls, and a few other bolt ons. I picked the car up for $4100 - here's a picture of the car right around the time I picked it up:

Eventually. I'm just bugging Jeremy for his old parts right now and piecing together a SM2 car. Got the MR2 Turbo for track days now. It at least gives 90% of the Mustangs at the track day a run for their money on the straights.

A few pics from the autocross this weekend with the new 6ULs...
I upgraded a few fuel components last week. I picked up this dual feed on m.net for $90. It's apparently made by BRP and came with one of their supercharger kits. It looks to be about the same size as the FM rail, and overall it seems to be a quality piece. It was a little tough to get the injectors in the rail, but other than that no issues with the install.

LOL, hey nick, how come you completely left out the part involving street tuning in the rain at 3am, with no top, your copilot sitting on your rollbar, and cruising past what looked like an active murder investigation, in the middle of atlanta.
You'll be at the dyno on saturday right?

Ben - you are right. I think this thread deserves a detailed account of the final night of the install! You did a pretty good job, but you left out a few details - a) you stayed until 5am! b) you somehow magically managed to get a pretty good tune on a car with a major vacuum leak, and c) you came to help at a moment's notice on a Saturday night, drove 45 mins, stayed until dawn, wouldn't take a dime for gas money, and did all of this having never met me. Dude, I owe you!
Yep - I'll be at the dyno on Saturday! Looking forward to it already. Believe it or not, it's supposed to be back to 70 degrees by the weekend.

Good times, good times. Diagnosing mystery fuel pump issues. Cutting and solder bridging the Link board. Driving through atlanta, sitting on a rollbar because the car has no seat, in the rain with the top down, watching gauges and tweaking Link settings while trying to stay in the car. Trying to add enough fuel in low ranges to get the sputtering car to run up an incline so we can get away from the 15 squad cars before the cops see us.
We'll see ya on saturday. I am most likely to be in attendance, and most likely to not run my own car.

An updated picture with the 15x9 6ULs:
I've got a set of nickel 15x8 6ULs for autocross, and another set of black ones for the track.
Autocrossing (check out the lip over the rear wheel)...
Here's an autocross video from a few weeks back - shot with a GoPro Hero 5MP wide:

...and chasing my brother's silver 993 and a red supercharged 993 around Nashville Superspeedway:

I had to roll and pull to get enough clearance for the 15x9s. Here's a "before" and "after" pic:
Before (pretty much flat):
After (nice lip!)
And a few more random pics:
