I'll have them "free with purchase of m-tuned brackets". I do have like 5 corrado rotors, so sure, have a few.

also weighted the car. 2250lbs without driver or gas, 2420 with me in it, figure <2500 full loaded

48% cross weight with me in it. 49% dry.

Suggestions to remove 50lbs of weight? I really want 2200lbs (or rather, 1000kg) dry weight.

I'm thinking battery and wiring tuck will get me like 20-30lbs (depending on level of effort).
Gut trunk lid?
Relocate battery to passenger seat?
Gut doors a little bit?

I still have speakers and kind of want to wire a 2channel amp.... so I think those will stay.

The things I plan don't fail

I took the rotor off the other side and it's visibly a different, crappy casting compared to my other rotors. Interestingly enough the bad casting ones came from partsgeek and the good ones are from rockauto. The partsgeek ones were actually drop-shipped form the manufacturer. In branded box and all.

I'll take pics tomorrow but the difference is obvious, now that I looked at it.

**** like this is why I'm glad Ms Mobius doesn't peruse the forums. Well, among other reasons. Were she to see random brake failures on track, the whole "how safe is this hobby" discussion would be resurrected, and Mobius doesn't want that.

Edit: and this is also why 11.75" is in my immediate future, since my car rivals an MSM in portliness ...

video of my last session (out of 8 total)

I think it was pretty good for green group. I got cleared for solo after 3 sessions. The passenger in this video was just some guy who wanted to ride along. Interestingly, he afterwards gave me better tips than my instructor did

Downshifting is overrated.

Eh worth checking. I hear the whining too but at the beginning of the video the voices are all FUBAR. So I'm guessing it's the camera.

Transmission cost me $900 so yes, I do worry about it

Yeah it's a Mazdaspeed 6-speed with 14k miles when I bought it. I want it to last.
How often should I change transmission (and differential) oil with track use?

That is cheaper then your $3000 turbo, so I don't see why you worry.
