Sweet. I know I am a long way out from turbo-ing my car, but I am very interested to see how the BP spools the 6758. We have lots of disco potato and T25 spool numbers, but not many EFRs.

Yeah that's my biggest question too. I already know the 6258 spools like a GT2554. 6758 is same turbine wheel but completely different compressor wheel. Weight difference is negligible between the 2 wheels but the design is different. 6258 uses a 14 blade wheel where as 6758 is a 12 blade wheel.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you're the 1st to try the 6758 right?

yep i'm the first.
the only point of reference of 6758 vs 6258 I have is some greek guy with an Audi TT who commented on my

Lol, this guy is a genius.

Of course it will spool later. How much later is the question. Will it spool like a 2860? Or worse, closer to a 3076?

Also, is there any way to compare theoretical spool times via compressor maps?

It cannot possibly spool like a 3076. That would be beyond fail and unlikely.
I'm going to randomly predict somewhere between 2860 and 2871.

GT25 and GT28 have different turbine wheels.
6258 and 6278 have same turbine wheels.
GT2554 and GT2560 have same turbine wheels.

therefore, it should spool like a GT2560.

therefore if it spools like a 2560 but makes 400, then

I was talking to fullrace about which to use in a twin setup (6258 or 6758) for a different car. They said spool difference is negligible between the two

But that doesnt mean power wont be different at low RPM between the two.

True, I was speaking specifically about spool and didn't think that they also meant power

I don't really care about spool on a dyno.. I care about transient response. As long as this one has the same "ready to go, anytime, anywhere" super-awesome feel that the 6258 had, I don't care.

Oh and I wonder if it whistles differently....

I bet it will spool about 200-300 rpm's later, just a wild speculation from all the EFR research I have done in my life.

But you won't be spoolin at all until I fix up the manifold!!! Mani should be all fixed and spiffy on Sunday, and shipped on Monday (tuesday probably because labor day). I am going to add some gusset plates to the affected area as well, just like absurdflow does on their long sections. I will put some pics in here of the glory

Twin 6758s on a V6? Sounds like an Indy car to me!

I'm actually going to Baltimore Indy this Saturday (because ALMS race is on Saturday, lol). I'll bring my EFR so it can hang out with all the Indy cars
