Today it was raining. So I drove the jeep. When I got home, I tackled my timing error issue. I was getting a lot of timing error. Reading up and looking at trigger log I realized that I wired VR sensor wrong. Swapping signal and ground improved the issue, but I still get some timing error. It's a lot better. It's also A LOT better than CAS sensor. Timing error reported in megasquirt is per tooth so 20% error on 36-1 wheel is like 180% error on a CAS, lol.
I think changing to shielded wires will further help eliminate timing error. I might do that.
I also configured the knock sensor. I'm using a bosch sensor and it seems to be very, very, very sensitive.
Log of a 4th gear pull. There are small random spikes all over the place... I don't like them.
Then, failure stirkes again
I had a random drivetrain noise - it sounded like brakes rubbing. Since I just installed new brakes on all 4 corners, I thought that was it. Nope, turns out a bolt got stuck between tire thread blocks. It eventually punctured my tire, so now I have a hole in it. I'll try to get it patched tomorrow. If it doesn't work out, I'll use NT01s on drag strip and will order a new tire.

you mean, 12 hours right? I already plugged that hole
also went to the dyno place (to sign up for dyno day) and they told me it filled up already ;_; but I can show up early and get a run in.
they also cleaned out their dyno pit and found my old trigger wheel from when crank pulley sheared on first dyno attempt.

ha ha it is funny because it is true.
i told soviet the other night that after i blow up my current six speed i am going to buy his s256 and aim for... 400hp. I think 400hp with the s256 and artech tubular + qsv will be much better than my 3071 w/ begi S5 log. It will also bolt right up to my downpipe and everything with no modificate

On a serious note: I'm pleasantly surprised that you're starting to use common sense and logic...But kinda still want to see you attempt 600+

I drove it around today and it pulls kind of... funny. I'm going to check my plugs, have suspicion that I should put new ones in
Kind of feels like a very, very light misfire. Going to log.
Feels fast. Like I remember it.
